Non-stealth paypal limitation: best plan to resolve
 
My PP account was limited due to my own safety, as I logged in under a proxy and it thought it was someone else. They requested I change my password and upload docs to prove my address, which I did.
They then sent me an email saying they have denied me being able to unlimit my account due to security issues.

Yet this is a non-stealth account . Any idea what I can do now ? I sent a message but was given a instant automated reply saying accounts are closed or limited due to many different reasons.

They said on the email my appeal to a limitation was denied and my account closed due to security. They didn't say if I had a chance to appeal or not. My account seems to still be "open", just limited (stopping me doing anything).

I seem to still have the option to add more docs in the profile part of my profile, but it is not asking for me.

What is best to do ? Thanks.

Ring them up, its the best advice I can offer, let the rep know your situation.

Say you were using a proxy at work to get around the system they have to block social and buying websites etc. I'm guessing the IP the proxy used was from a different country.

Just be nice to whoever you speak to, it might work and they will hopefully lift the limits.

Im sure you can find the number to call customer services on here, just search for it.

I would suggest going thro' to Dublin.

Play it along these lines.... wOw you are so impressed they did this to protect you. You wanted to check a balance, stratch your nose, yada yada. Not your usual method & would never do it again. etc etc.
