Iphone pics on ebay

I use my iphone to take pics for feebay.

Is there info on that Pic identifying me?

hackteck 04-08-2012 07:50 PM

well you need a program like batch purifier to remove all that identifying info because yes it is tagged with all kinds of info so just transfer the pics to your pc and scrub them with that program

Oh what? I use my iPhone for taking pics of my inventory and all I do is send them to my email download the pics to my desktop and then upload them to eB. I've done this for pictures on 5 different accounts now. Not a good idea?

You could be linked this way. Wait for others to chime in on why........

hackteck 04-08-2012 09:03 PM

well each picture you take has info hidden inside the jpeg called EXIF google it as well as a few other things so you could be linked this way if you share the same photos off different ebay accounts

Quote:

EXIF is automatically added to photos by virtually every digital camera, as well as by some scanners. EXIF includes details such as the exact date and time the photograph was taken, the digital camera manufacturer, model, and unique serial number, the camera settings, and the location (if GPS-enabled camera was used). Furthermore, EXIF typically contains a thumbnail of the photo in the file, and many image manipulation software fail to update this thumbnail when the original image is modified. So even if the image was cropped, or otherwise modified to hide certain parts in it, the removed parts may still be visible in the thumbnail.
here is the info i found on it
