| Ilovethissite | 04-15-2012 05:10 PM | SSN paypal From what I've read, it seems that paypal will eventually and inevitably ask for your ssn. Is it possible to never be put in a situation where paypal asks for your ssn, or will it eventually occur to every paypal account, and if so, what is the average time period that you can have without paypal asking for you ssn if you take in money slowly, and do everything carefully and slowly. |
| Gamefreak | 04-15-2012 05:33 PM | It will happen sooner than later, you best get it over with asap. Instead of sellling 5k worth of stuff a month and then BAM your limited I say provide it hopefully all goes well and you can sell that 5k without any problems |
| Sandy D | 04-15-2012 05:34 PM | You need to take the time to read more as this has been discussed to pieces here.
There is really no set amount. At one time it was thought to be 200 sales and 20k in money coming through pp and that was proven not to be as many have reported as low as 8k and getting asked.
No concrete answer.
Tons of post about this and various posters posting their own situations.
Mine, I got hit around 12k on one account last year. |
| Ilovethissite | 04-15-2012 06:53 PM | ok, is that 200 sales and 20 k in a year? Meaning, if the limit is 200 sales and 20 k(hypothetically, I know you said they limit it at less now randomly) will there be a problem if I do 8 k in sales one year, 8 k, next year, 8 k the year after? Does that count as 24 k sales, or does it get reset after every year. |

Taxes are the problem.:juggle: |

8K was just a reference number.
I'm planning to ride accounts till their death at the end of the year. Will start making 20 more this late summer , to have some for the next year. |
| Sandy D | 04-16-2012 12:26 AM | Sell at your own risk. LOL
It has been reported as low as 8k got the letter.
Resets every year at 0's. |
You could always spread a LOT over accounts. |
| Ilovethissite | 04-16-2012 12:56 PM | so hypothetically if you spread it out over many many accounts and never reach the limit for the year, they will never ask for you ssn? |
That's one possibility - also will depend on what you sell too but yes, doable. |
| Omgoozle | 04-18-2012 10:23 PM | In my experience, they have started to ask for SSN around 10K and then limited your account from receiving payments around 17K.
I hope that helps,
