Paypal Limited - Need Help/Advice
 

Okay, this topic was probably posted here before a long while ago,
searched around the forums for this specific case.
But I need additional info and help in this matter,
so I would appreciate any suggestions or advice....

I have currently an eBay stealth and Paypal account
that I bought here (from a very reputable and respected seller).

It's been 2 months with a few hiccups,
but have been doing pretty good in terms of selling.

Then just a couple days ago,
I received an email from Paypal that my account was limited,
and they needed information in order to verify my identity.

They want the following...

* Proof of AddressTo confirm your address, please send us a copy of a bill that shows your name and address. Helpful documents include a utility bill, a cell phone bill, an insurance bill, or a tuition bill.

* Provide InvoicesPlease confirm that you own the merchandise you're selling. Helpful documents include copies of sales receipts, itemized lists of goods sold, and original bills of sale. Invoices must show date of purchase, name of wholesaler or supplier, a description of the items sold, quantity of items purchased, and the amount you paid for the merchandise. We will handle your information in accordance with our privacy policy.

*Check Email for Additional Required Documentation
We will send you an email explaining what we need from you to appeal the account limitation.

* Confirm Location
We need to confirm that your phone number matches your address.

* Confirm Social Security number
To help confirm your identity please add your Social Security number to your PayPal account.

* Provide business information
Please provide information about your business to help confirm this Business account.

* Provide proof of delivery
Please confirm that the merchandise was delivered.

So now that the Paypal is limited.
(Of my 14 something years of using Paypal, this is the first time
I am limited and have something harsh to say about them)
And it has about $700 in it from sales I made on eBay.
I cannot send or make payments with the account,
so what happens to that money? Will I ever see or touch that money?
They will just take it? 180 day hold?

I tried calling up Paypal to see if I can get anyone nice enough
to lift the limitation, but no dice. They really want the information.
And because it is a bought stealth account, I cannot provide any
of the information they requested.

So what do I do? Just move on?
But I need the money in the account,
I for one do not have a regular job,
and rely on sales made from eBay.
Even if it's "just" $700, that is alot,
and I could use it to pay bills/rent, other expenses and stuff.

My eBay account is still in good standing though.
So what can I do?
Any replies would be appreciated.

Here are options:

Provide what they are asking.... If you cannot then you must go fresh, all new accounts. Consider the ebay dead too. You can get your money in 45days depending on type of payment method was used. If they paid by CC then expect to wait 180 days. If they paid with paypal balance or bank account then maybe 45 days. This is the way i see it. Maybe some other will chime in with more "sercret" tips.

Pepsimax is right on with his info. Your account has been limited too soon to expect a cashout without the docs they want for "de-limitation".

Saw an newer thread with a post about this, after I posted this thread.
And went ahead and used the website link that one of the posters posted.

Made a few clarifications and changes to the letter,
and sent it to the various Paypal emails...

And what do ya know?
They replied back and basically blasted me with a perma-limit,
and said to expect the money within 180 days.

Ah, that's me being an idiot.
So guess that's that.
Otherwise hope for what NewJerseyMax said
for a 45 day lift.

You are not to realize that the thread had info from about one year ago.

SO many others in a similar situation have tried the method.

Frankly paypal will long ago have closed it down. It seriously is more harm than it is worth.

No way would I ever suggest to a user here to apply tactics broadcast over the internet to try to beat paypal.

Moreover, if we keep withdrawing money from paypal before it hits $1000 (say every $400). Then after we took 4 times = 4x$400 = $1600.. Will paypal still ask for ID (because the total is over $1000, although the balance never go over $500)?

Yes/probably. Their attitude is a total went thro' a account. Needs careful handling :heh:
