Is every 6 months safe to close "dead" bank account?

Had this talk with my banker girl and she made some calls and said that is VERY reasonable. She does stealth too so she knew how to ask,

I have 3 accounts. 2 checking and 2 savings I want to close at 3 different banks. Spread them through 6 months seem safe?

Yes 6 months is VERY reasonable - avoids early closure fees by some banks and should be fine
