Is there anyway to recieve payments without getting limited...

How can you recieve payment anywhere from $1.00 to $2000 and just get your account limited and have your funds held for 180 days or until you give them ALL YOUR INFO: SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, PHONE NUMBERS, DATE OF BIRTH, BANK ACCOUNT, CREDIT CARD, etc.... its so pointless

So my question is, how can i recieve payment on paypal with giving my SSN,or is there another place i can go and just use my credit card to verify my account.

i miss back in the day where you could recieve up to $2000 and you wouldnt recieve a limitation at all, and all you needed was your credit card verified(easy).

any place other alternatives to paypal? that alot of auction sites use

It isnt just so easy to hand over your SSN etc.. the transaction would get your account limited based on risk.. will there be a chargeback and will PayPal have to foot the bill, thats why they limit it. If it was so simple to show a SSN to PP this site wouldn't need to be here.

Merchant accounts are a good alternative but im not familiar with how they work in US

How much money can one obtain on paypal without recieving a limitation wth just a linked credit card?

or do they think every single seller who sells through paypal is gonna be red flag and limit your account until they upload there ssn and bank account?

You can definitely receive a lot of money in paypal if you know what you are doing. Just based on how you're asking your question I'd say you are looking at a quick limitation. You have a lot of research to do.

Merchant account maybe.

Things change and with eb and pp all the time.

You just have to adjust to the changes.

For me, I spread my sales over many accounts and make sure I do not leave tons of money in pp.

It's all about risk...what do you expect to do, do you want Paypal to let you start a new stealth account, and then start receiving $2000 payments the next week???

I started my stealth eBay and PP in August 06...I have received many large payments, no limitations, fewer than 5 SNAD complaints over entire lifetime of accounts, great feedback & DSRs. Maybe that's the key, not trying to find some loophole to get around Paypal's standards. When I started my stealth account, I started out slow, knowing I don't have the patience to deal with constantly getting limited and starting new accounts. Now I basically have a no-limits account. Ran almost 40grand through PP one year, not a peep.

PS, I have no SSN on the account, no EIN yet (maybe later this year so I can have more transactions). BUT, I have always used a real address (UPS store or similar), and now have a real credit card attached to PP. They check public records now, you can't just make up all your info and expect to haul in the dough without getting a look-over.

There is no set amount and no way of knowing other then listening to posters here who have posted their experiences.

For me on any new or newer account a good amount of money coming in and then going out will raise flags.

How much money are you talking about?

Merchant account, moneyb ookers, few other payment processors to consider.

As you read around (and as ovidiu, Sandy_D, and biggunn are bringing to light) there is no easy way of dealing with pp...quickly I mean. You really should be building your rep and your time with pp in order not to be axed.

ovidiu 04-22-2012 04:08 AM

Exactly, rsot. I know a lot of people hate paypal, but let's face it. Anyone can sign up for a paypal account; Paypal never meets you or sees your face. Common sense says they'd want some history with you before relaxing on the leash. You guys should start one separate PP & eBay account on a totally different machine & network, let it slowly grow, do your buying there, some innocuous selling, and before you know it in a year or so, you'll be pretty trustworthy. But then again, part of the reason I have lasted so long is that I don't make waves.
