Major Paypal updates tonight. Any worries?
 

Hi guys,

Tonight is supposed to be the big paypal update.... What is it?
Do you expect them to increase security?

Has anyone tried to make an account during this? Is it possible? Maybe interesting results if done through ebay where they make one instant?

I've been unable to access my account since about 10pm central time. Wanted to issue a refund at about 8pm, I couldn't even view the transaction.

What update to paypal are you talking about. I didn't get any kind of email. The only problems I have is not able to print some labels with ebay shipping until 11pm pacific time.

Wasnt aware of any major PayPal update

If you aren't logging in to your PP account multiple times per day, then you aren't making enough money. Especially considering many people here have a lot more than one account.

I got one label printed this evening, then kicked out with annoying service message. :ranger:

I only log into paypal to withdraw money or refund, I mostly log into ebay and print from there.

Makes me nervous every time they update. Not that we all wont find a way around the issue but, just more to invest to stay running.

Unlike ebay its just an "update"... They wont say what it is exactly. However sense tells me if they need to shut down such a major portion of paypal for an update then its big. Losses in sales must have been huge. So with that in mind its a "major update"...lol

Even DHgate had a notice up that paypal cannot be used during that period.

I think soon enough they will have similar techniques like Amazon.

Hope not pepsimax - well...maybe just the 90 day policy but still...rest hope not.

So what is this update everyone is talking about?

also couldnt print labels. didnt know there was an update.

I'm not sure if it was an update. I did not find any news about it. There WERE reports of features not working, but that was all I could find.

Maybe it was a systems problem.

Probably just server maintenance. Updating some software and such...

It a security update. Buy amazon ghost now.

I didn't have any problems loging in or anything in UK PayPal? hmm

It was US paypal only which we all got an email to say about the disruption in service.

Any one find out what they were doing with their maintenance

I have no problems with paypal either.
