Going to another state, but using the same laptop to log in, any IP problem?
 

I usually log in my accounts by my laptop.
If I want to go to another state for a few weeks (very far away from my house but still within in the US) and log in by the same laptop, is there any problem emerging from different IP address?
Do I need to inform Ebay/PP about this? However, I have 2 accounts, if I inform them, I will have to do that with 2 accounts.
Any suggestion for me?

I have never had an ip problem using my laptop away from the office. Ebay would be naive to think that a seller will use only one ip address, it defeats the purpose of customer service.

Ebay work on the probability that if you are being banned then the ip address that you use a lot with it will get banned, however we are in the age of ipads etc which means that you can work on the go will always catch a different ip.

The thing to worry about it cookies and flash cookies that's what they use mainly to catch you.

ebay is more tolerant I agree.

paypal is not.


Main concern would be that the OP has user account set correctly with cookies etc in place :ranger:

Have a phone ready just in case.

I will log in with the same laptop I usually log in, so I think cookies will be no problem with me.

Have your account info ready.

I make many accounts in a womens name just in case the DH is not home to help bail me out.

If I set up "vacation" mode, but still log in my accounts, is it better to avoid phone call, sandy?
I travel for another work, so I really want to "forget" about Ebay during that time, their phone call may make me headache although I'm legit.

You will be ok.... I have done this on many occasions.
