| | | Thankful | 04-25-2012 06:39 AM | Monthly Limits got lifted today by themselves Took about 4 months of solid selling on this account, sold 100 items every month to hit my limit, for the 4 months.
So today e/b decided to give me 270 for selling limits for each month- this came as great news and a surprise.
No phone calls were involved for lifting these limits - and this is a just a normal e/b account not a business account.
In the 4 months, I had 250+ FB - had 3 cases all resolved - no negatives - 4 neutral rest positive - always shipped fast - responded back to all msgs no matter how stupid they were.
It just goes to show sometimes, you don't always have to call them, patience is a virtue. |
| Callidus | 04-25-2012 06:49 AM | Niceone! Your right obviously patience is the virtue but I reckon if you hit those selling limits you possibly could go higher again very soon, slowly but steady !
Gratz! |
| Callidus | 04-25-2012 06:50 AM | WOW, a miracle just happened!
I just refreshed my eBay and now I have 220 item per month / £3500 instead of 100 /£3500!
Awesome! That account is 3 months old :P |
| Thankful | 04-25-2012 06:52 AM | You too? nice one man
Gingers do have souls afterall :boink:
I think it's today that their lifting limits interesting stuff going on here.
Remember to write down this date for reference.
I'm wonder what would happen if i turned into a business e/b account next month perhaps.... hmmm |
| they_screwed_me_too | 04-25-2012 06:59 AM | payments holds got relaxed today on one account only holding 1 of every 3 ish now instead of every one :-)
will keep posted on other accounts |
| NoneOther | 04-25-2012 07:33 AM | Been happening for a while now that 'good' accounts get limits raised towards the end of the month.
Just had one go from 200 to over 600 :thumb: |
| Sandy D | 04-25-2012 07:41 AM | Congrats OP, that is a nice jump.
I have learned to make sure I sell right up to the limit every month, on accounts I do not they dont get any or much of a raise.
I hope I get some raises today. |
| Thankful | 04-25-2012 07:48 AM | Yeah thats right - it's all about hitting your limits and it makes sense why would they increase your limits if you ain't hitting your current limits?
Give them a reason too! boooooom! |
| yotano211 | 04-25-2012 07:57 AM | Hey what do you know, I got one raised from 10 to 50. One of my early stealth accounts, 5 months old. |
Very nice work all - wonder if limits have increased automatically on few of my ones too. Will test. |
| yotano211 | 04-25-2012 08:52 AM | I looked through all of my and only had that one lifted. Maybe next month toward the end of the month I might get more accounts lifted. |
| sergfro | 04-25-2012 09:26 AM | They are lifting limits a week prior to the month ending? Nice, i'll check the rest of my accounts |
| Ebayorbust | 04-25-2012 09:58 AM | Yes, I've had a few "nice" increases on my accounts that have got limits.
Thankfully most of my accounts were created a good while ago and have no limits whatsoever. :p |
| Callidus | 04-25-2012 01:17 PM | Ebayorbust - Thats nice with no limits! How long has it taken YOU to get to that point, as obviously varies account by account.
:ranger: |
| Ebayorbust | 04-25-2012 02:00 PM | The accounts with no limits are well over 2 years old. They have never had any limits (including 3 private accounts). |
| TowelKing | 04-25-2012 10:23 PM | One my accounts just had its limits raised automatically I guess the main factor influencing raises is how much you use from your limits - I used the limit to the max. |
| newjerseymax | 04-25-2012 11:41 PM | and amount....
I started real slow on one account by selling cheap stuff...
Now it has a 50 item / $1000 limit..... :> |

If e/b can't see that the account warrants a raise in limits then it won't happen. |
| eternity4u | 04-28-2012 08:12 AM | I have about 5 good account opened before 2010 without any limits
Then i have abuyer account that is like 3 years old, with 1161 feedback, verified Paypal account.
I can only sell 6 per month.:faint:
But this buyers account is on my suspended address, name has been changed slighty and dob.
This account was to buy, ie packing supplies, things i need for my personal use.
I do not need this account for selling has i have stealth accounts.
But i always good results when i sell something, feedbacks helps
When does the new cycle start on eBay |

When does the new cycle start on eBay | What new cycle you talking about?? do you mean when they start lifting limits again? I'd everyone 3 months when they start checking accounts for limits to be lifted - but obviously it may vary.
Yeah i too have a buying account with my name and address slightly changed - the reason the selling limits on it are low are because you have no selling history on it.
It's like a new account for selling if you know what i mean.
But I do agree feedback does help with selling compared to a low feedback account. |
| eternity4u | 04-28-2012 08:30 AM | I meant, my limit is 6 per monthly.
When can list the next 6.
Is it 1st of each month |
| Thankful | 04-28-2012 08:33 AM | Oh i understand that, mine is 10 on my buying account.
You looking to get it increased or something though? |
| james169 | 04-28-2012 08:50 AM | Just checked my accounts after seeing this thread and found my limits had been increased from 100 to 120 one account, not bad as it has 50 feedback on it, but does have 4.9's across the board on the dsr's, the account is nearly a year old but I have only recently started selling on it and hit just under 100 sales last month and 100 this month, so that was only two months of nearing / reaching the selling limit :thumb: |

Thankful's core thread =) Good stuff. |
| eternity4u | 04-28-2012 11:20 AM | Thanks for you help guys |
| Sandy D | 04-28-2012 02:49 PM | Wow, they are being generous with us.
Just signed into an account I have not listed on in a couple of weeks and got raised I did not expect.
Mainly because I usually do not see raises on accounts if I do not list up to the limits on.
Not in this case.
Maybe they are realizing there stupid limits is costing them tons of money. |

| renzini | 04-28-2012 04:24 PM | Some of my accounts have limits lifted too before the end of the month, that was a great suprise. I believe eBay needs to lift limits to good sellers because it is making many new ebayers to move to another sites to sell some of the items they can not list on eBay because the limit restriction. This cost of this limit for eBay is probably 100-500 millions of dollars, maybe more. |
