The 4 Different Kinds of PP Limitations I have had: is there a meaning to them
 

I've been in the game for a while now, and I've seen 4 different kinds of PP limitations. I am curious about what causes each different kind of limitation, and what your experience has been with it.

#1) Allows you to send/receive, and withdraw funds for 45 days before putting you on full limitation. Also includes an open request for information.

#2) Allows you to receive funds for 45 days before putting you on full limitation. Also includes an open request for information.

#3) Instant limitation, no appeal. Does NOT allow you to send/withdraw funds for 180 days. No request for information.

#4) Tax limitation. You have hit the limit for receiving funds without entering your Tax ID and they have put a full stop on your account from receiving funds. You can still withdraw. The only RFI is for your Tax ID.



Usually my accounts receive #1 or #2 when they're limited, but today for the first time one of my accounts received limitation #3, which worries me.

The reason for the limitation is that the account received over $5K in 24 hours. Any idea why this kind of limitation happened instead of the normal "We need more information about your recent sales?" Is there something further down the line with this which may cause me problems?

I've never even seen the first 2 before.

Almost all of my accounts get #2, which I ignore for 45 days until it goes into full limitation.

They don't really differentiate when they send it to you. They send the same letter no matter what... but some accounts are still able to request/receive money.

@JBluntz - your accounts may still be able to receive money for 45 days after the date of limitation, you just might not be noticing it.

I have seen some new ones that are limiting your account untill you can provide and change a wide range of info. Paypals reason "to help protect your security" Lets just say what they may ask for can be extremely broad. In the works of trying to see what is causing this new one

I've seen that too, it falls under #2. The account can still accept/request funds while they give you 45 days to provide the info.


I have only seen #1 once, and a screenshot is attached to proove that it exists.

It didnt state a time frame on this one and also it was very odd information they were asking for not the typical

Quit being so vague, what "odd information" are you talking about?

Some stuff is just not covered in the forum, Put it this way if you do your stealth account correctly you will have no problem passing
