oh dear schoolgirl error by the mrs
 

you all know my previous posts so i wont repeat

but ive done all my 10 stealth accounts today

usual care and procedure

the mrs has been doing her new ebay activities using her tethered iphone using her 3g data

ive as always reset my ip after each account visit

turns out shes been ALL DAY on MY WIFI instead of her 3g

different pcs

so IP adresses will have crossed god knows how many times

thinking about it at the worst only 1 of my accounts could have been linked

none of the ones ive logged onto are suspended or restricted

does anyone have any input please

the mrs in in real tears

tell her not to panic

just not to do it again and hopefully they wont get looked at any time soon

Yeah gtb is right most of the time it can fly its all good.

Multiple days of linking is more likey to get you looked at.

Keep it under control from now on.

You'll probably be ok if it's just this once.

BTW the iPhone would only be using wifi if the screen was active and not in standby mode i.e. black screen. When its in standby mode it switches to 3G automatically after an minute or two. This is an energy saving feature of the phone to save battery.

So using iphone as ur dongle has a different ip address everytime u sign in & out??

if you switch airplane mode off and on yes it will change IP

was she logged in all day?

you changing resetting your wifi ip will disconnect her, so initial ip may be shared but then note if she logged back in later, if so, more further ips will have been logged on her one acc....

she needs training on what to do to protect your stealth accs..and/or she needs a reminder
labeled to her computer not to have blue light on etc....

this is a good thing tho right?? multiple ip addresses is good for one account?? surely having different dongles wouldnt allow u to have same ip with same account??

multiple ips are good, but the mrs did not want her ebay acc mixed with OP multi stealths..

Not much you can do about this - I would not worry too much - do not repeat, just monitor the accounts and let time go on.

yes it is okay

one dongle which gives you a different ip address each time is perfect for running a few stealth accounts

quick and easy,every time you log off one account and then log into the next you usually get a different ip

make sure you always check your ip has changed here IP Burger - What is my IP Address? Find Your IP Address!

never switch windows user accounts :nono: always log off and then go to the next

shes already got one oompa.............however feel free to post a pic ;-)

so if the dongle changes ip every time you switch accounts do you still have to keep log of the ip addresses? or is it almost always completely different

There is always a possibility of IP addresses being duplicated.
