| | | newjerseymax | 05-02-2012 01:54 PM | Question about "buying feedback"? Those that buy small feedback items...
Is it best to do it while its a buyers account or get the feedback after its a sellers account? Meaning prior to ANY sales.
I searched and couldn't get answers... |
| BigCJ | 05-02-2012 02:08 PM | I personally do it when I start off as a buyer.
I want ebay to think that I am hesitant and want to get a feel to the ebay bidding system.
When I get/win around 5 - 8 feedback, I upgrade to seller status. (usually on items under 5 bucks) |
I have done this as a buyer AND continued while I was selling pepsimax - did not have problems because of it. Just have to dabble with it. |
i do it as a buyer as well at first then continue to do so while i sell |
| biggunn | 05-02-2012 04:19 PM | I do it as a buyer and a seller. I've heard of people getting flagged doing this, but I've never once had an issue with it.. I buy cheap ass stuff too like 40 cents and down. |
| newjerseymax | 05-02-2012 07:33 PM | Thanks guys! My thought process is/was that ebay is more likely to flag a seller with feedback manipulation. However I have always set account as seller and buy 2 a week until I reach 10. Sometimes buying 1 or 3 keeping is different...
I really appreciate the info guys! |

Oldish thread. I've upped the budget to $100. What I buy I either use or sell...
I buy stuff 'cos I'm an ebay user. I'm no different from other users except my account is stealth ;)

| stanislav | 05-02-2012 08:03 PM | I am planning to buy 100 feedbacks for one or two cents on my "new" stealth account. Let's see what happens! LOL! I am serious! |
| jamcocktail21 | 05-02-2012 08:09 PM | If you buy 100 feedback in 1-10 days you know what will happen :)
If you plan to do this in a long run you should be ok
Just my 2 cents Stanislav |

Just my 2 cents Stanislav | Hahahaha! Was the 2 cents reference pun intendet LOL! |
| stanislav | 05-02-2012 09:43 PM | I bought about 20 feedbacks for 99 cents in one day and nothing happend. |
| jamcocktail21 | 05-02-2012 10:39 PM | Well i bought 10 today and nothing happened but who knows
I would not risk 100 in one day :suspicious: |
| Thankful | 05-03-2012 06:55 AM | I've done upto 20 in a day on stealths, thats most i've ever done on them - seems fine.
Wouldn't do nomore than that amount though.
100 is asking for trouble :brick:  |

| vegetto | 05-03-2012 10:17 PM | you can sell expensive stuff and use another account to buy. Don't pay. leave for 5 days and then cancel (to get your FVF back). Then feedback back for both account
You can do this untill you get 5 good seller feedback or 3 is enough to me.
Good feedback for selling expensive stuff is way better than buying 100 cheap item feedback! |
| cainhoffman | 05-03-2012 10:52 PM | That requires too many accounts, time, and effort. Have your money work for you instead.
Fastest and most efficient way is to buy household stuff you may or may not need. |

Good feedback for selling expensive stuff is way better than buying 100 cheap item feedback! | Not a sensible idea. The OP is trying to start up a new account not kill it.
It is fraught with danger.
Part of the problem is the danger of linking accounts
new accounts should not risk 'expensive' items
cancelling a sale exposes account(s) unreasonably to ebay.
We try to NOT advise silliness. This is silly :smash: |
feedback manipulation
it is what it is
its all about whether you get caught...not how many you do! |
Lots of good points on here. Bottom line it is good to buy things on accounts. Everybody shops at dollar stores and the 99 cent store so you're telling me on eBay you can't ?
It works good if I'm a newbie and trying out eBay I want to test out the process with low risk. So buying a $20 bill worth is all good all day.
Just buying a bunch and looking like your up to something will catch up to you. Feedback is feedback when you are a newbie. Only time I ever see someone go down for feedback manipulation is when they buy ebooks or when it says buy positive feedback here stay away from those. |
Too many cancellations casts a dubious shadow on the account. |
| newjerseymax | 05-04-2012 09:31 AM | a lot of good info from everyone! Much appreciated!
You all rock! =}- |
| boondoggle | 05-04-2012 10:14 AM | The process of buying cheap items just for feedback gets easier with practice, you learn what you can buy and about how much you should be paying AND the actual point/click process gets faster with practice- its amazing how fast you become when you get in the zone doing it. Its sad that its one of the few things I excel at. Not the most glamorous of skills. |
| vegetto | 05-04-2012 10:50 AM | You only need 3 cancellation and your accounts good to go. I never have problems with my method so far. What i said about expensive stuff is from <200$. For example a game just release or a dvd movies, Just choose random and put on sale. Do some communications then buy, and cancel it, be smart. What you are doing is exactly what buyer and seller doing and eBay don't have a clue to catch what is going on.
If you get your account linked, that's because you didn't follow the ebaystealth's book!
. About buying, i can buy 20 fb for only 20 cents in 1 day. But i prefer selling feedback!:noidea: http://img.techpowerup.org/120504/vegetto166.jpg |
| cainhoffman | 05-04-2012 06:02 PM | If it works for you, then it works for you.
The issue, and what you need to remember is, what works for stealth veterans doesn't always work for stealth newbies. There is good advice and bad advice, regardless of whether it works or not :) |

I do not think I would do that.
Are you testing or something?
100 items at 0.01 is a sure red flag waving in your face. |
| Sandy D | 05-05-2012 09:09 AM | Reading back through the post there are some great pointers but in the end my opinion is you really have to be careful with everything you do.
Testing things is different but if you want to build a good account then you must walk slowly and of course act and look like a newbie.
Sure buying stuff is fine but you can over do it and cost you.
Tons of threads in the past where someone had a good account going and bought a bunch of penny items and down it went.
Bottom line is be smart, not greedy. |
