My Plan: Please cast your eye and comment
 

Hi all,

This is what I intend to do to get back on to Paypal and Ebay, if the plan passes your scrutiny. All comments welcome.

1. Goes without saying, but set up new user account on pc and change ip.
2. Set up new gmail address.
3. Set up paypal account using empty property next door with new name. No letterbox next door, so I already get the mail for this property pushed through my letterbox, including standing charge bill for the electricity, so I can get creative with this one. House has been unoccupied for at least 10 years and going the wrong way. There is an owner, but he only checks on the property once every 12-18 months. I think it's 'an investment', lol.
4. Get a business address, like MailBoxes Etc., for business address on both Paypal and Ebay. Pay for 1-3 months to catch any welcome letters from Ebay. My return address on all items sold is a friend's.
5. I have a brand new basic Natwest account to add to PP.
6. Need to get VCC sorted.
7. I have got a new mobile sim card for spare phone for any calls from PP or Ebay.

Problems that I foresee are mainly to do with verifying identity when asked by Paypal, but I'm sure I can overcome this with assistance on here.

Other problems include: still need to have access to current limited paypal account because I am trying to get my £1200 back. I already have Hide My IP (proxy thing) on my pc which I use for something else as and when. I obviously don't want to beggar up my new accounts, so I was thinking of using hide my ip for logging into the already knackered account and using the new genuine ip when logging into new accounts and for everything else.

Does this sound like a plan? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

For the IP, I would suggest buying a mobile dongle and a data sim, I use a '3' one and it works perfectly in giving a wide range of different IP addresses each time it is used

You can pick these up cheaply on EB and if you want to expand your stealthing you would find it usefull

1. Would not suggest using Hide my IP - mobile dongle or tether via phone is better.

2. Try to use something better than VCC - physical gift card.

You'd only need one address set for both of EB/PP A/C that you have access to for any communications to/from EB/PP or customer returns etc etc so why the branching out to another address be it your friends or otherwise if you have access to the address next door ??? :noidea:

Thanks for this. I don't know anything about mobile dongles. Does switching off the router and switching it back on again have the same effect?

Also, are physical gift cards address specific?

Thanks Suve, I know it sounds a bit crazy for the second addy, but it's needed for me to hide behind. Can't say more than this here. My products are legit, legal, above board and no vero involved, but I have to be uber careful where the parent company is concerned.

The gift card question....I'd direct you to the credit card alternatives section on the board, your answer is on there: I'd stick with mobile dongles - honestly don't over complicate a working solution, that dongle solution will definitely work for you.It is a tried & tested method.
