Removing Negative Feedback

I sold an item to a buyer on 04/28 (Saturday) and shipped out the item on 04/30 (Monday),
eBay's "estimated delivery" date for the buyer was from 05/02-05/03 and unfortunately the package was not received by the buyer on the the 3rd (probably because mother's day is coming so there's delays) so she went ahead and left me a negative feedback saying that the item did not arrive when it is suppose to.
I checked her feedback history and she registered on the 27th, one day prior to buying my item, and she only has 1 feedback.

The package arrived the next day on the 4th so I messaged her asking if she would revise feedback since it is only one day late and I did ship out the item on the next business day but so far I have not heard a response.

Is it worth it to try and call eBay about removing this feedback? Is there a chance that they will actually remove it for me?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

I learnt recently if you can get the buyer to agree by msg saying they agree to removing the negative then you can call e/b and they will check your msgs and remove it.

Don't waste your f/b requests are there very limited.

Thankful is correct about this - make sure you have a response from the buyer saying something like Ok will revise.

im not being picky rsot but i find REMOVE rather than revise does the trick better

ive had it several times when REVISE has been used by the buyer that ebay tell me to use the revise feedback route rather than eBay doing it theirselves

this is why i save my revisions for a rainy day

just my thoughts

Yes I have had buyers in the past say OK send me the revision...then they wait more than 7 days....Revision expires...oops sorry ,can you send again? Fug that.

So if the buyer does not respond to my message and I call in eBay there is no chance of them removing this feedback? its caused by their "estimated delivery date" not taking in the fact that there is high postal traffic before mother's day so won't they feel bad maybe? lol

That's hit and miss.

It's also not a given to happen.

OP has not mentioned status of account to say if there is feedback revision available.:noidea:

swtannie850 05-06-2012 09:28 AM

Yes, there are feedback revisions available on that account

Get their contact info and try phoning them.

Is it crucial to remove a negative for a one day late shipping problem?

Consider that.

In the meantime check who may bid on your auctions AND change your shipping time description.

Horrible to get a negative. :tears:
It does mean a seller might need to adjust listings to control their account.
Good Luck

Bring back the good old days when retalitory feedback was the norm and life was oh so very very sweet :amen:

Ha for sure.

Sure made things much easier. Many neg givers are assholes I find. Got two in 3 years, from a PITA who gave neg or neutral on a 60ish percent habit, the other a noob who thought shipping within one business day meant next day shipping.

Thankfully if you have a long standing account it takes a lot of DSR hit to get you suspended, but it only takes 2 to lose TRS and that sweet 20% discount off fees.
