e/b pics

So e/b ask everyone to use own pics?? Why do I see successful sellers not?? How do i create best pics??

Thankful 05-11-2012 02:49 PM

E/B prefer you take your own pictures, one reason why they prefer this is because your pictures have exif data on them which can later link you to other accounts if the same picture is used again.

I think it's down to preference really bro - i don't think all successful sellers use stock photos - I always take my own pictures usually with white backgrounds either a white sheet or a little photoshop with the white background.

A decent camera is a good start to be honest with a white background.

Theres a camera thread here:

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/everyth...recommend.html

And plenty of videos on youtube on changing and editing pictures/backgrounds.

If you take the route of taking your own pictures this may come in handy:

ExifCleaner - Download.com

Will clear up all the exif data on the pictures.

ok great thanks, so theres no way i can download an image and fix it so its my own?? Just checking my options.

You mean from the internet/images?

In theory yes you can - just have to remove it's exif data - as you imagine many have prob used that picture before and will continue to do so in the future.

However be careful with what pictures your downloading just because you can download them it doesn't necessarily mean you can use them - they may have copyrights on them and you may need to seek permission to use actually use the pictures.

Any picture on a "normal" website, cannot be used without that website's permission (unless they have expressly granted permission).

Thats why it's best to take your own pictures but strip it's data.

Yeah I see the reasoning......but if i download staright from google images witout any water marks and strip...it looks so much more professional. Also could i do that & get an application to add my own logo or watermark to image??

Thankful 05-11-2012 03:17 PM

Yeah you can do that, just be careful what site you get it from. :suspicious:

Like i said bro - if it belongs to someone/company photo you may need to ask permission for use.

So as long as you use different pictures for different accounts, you should be ok not getting linked right?

Correct, just clean up the exif data on each picture.
