Ip changing

Hello all. Have a question abiut ip changing. I currently have an all legit buyers account only, and want to keep this separate. Im making new stealth acccount and want to be able to switch ips.

Does anybody in usa here use comcast internet? I have comcast supplied modem and use newer cisco router. Ive changed it once using mac cloning, but want to know a way to be able to switch it multiple times if possible..i am alreadt keeping two user accounts for windows. Anybody with experience in this, please respond or pm me. Thanks again.

You talking about eBay or Amazon here ??? :noidea:

I understand that you'd login into your router & change the MAC Address. The router & modem are powered down completely before being turned on again for a different ip address.

I don't know anything specific to comcast.

Alternatively you might want to consider USB dongles for different ip addresses. This is easier & simpler in my opinion.

I think i figured it out. Besides would have to pay for dongle right? I changed mac addy in router, just last 2 digits and refreshed router rhen reset modem. Changed it instantly. Then changed back to the original mac on the router, and it returned to my prev ip. So i think im in buisness as far as ip goes.

Yes, you'd have to pay for the dongle but the costs are low these day, monthly packages are pretty good value for money especially if you are going to be using this in your line of business.

But if you got the router setup to get different ip addresses, then you might just want to fly with that for now.

Your choice.

Deleting browser history

Should I delete my browser history before I switch back to my prior IP address? Every time? Thanks

No - better to use new user accounts for each different account+IP combo.

Dongle + Separate user accounts for account, is a solid formula for accounts.

Keep a log off your ips too.

Dont worry too much about MACs for eb now.

Maybe we should update the lingo for MAC because Router MAC you have to change to change your ip which has nothing to do with PC MAC which you only have to worry about with Amazon not ebay.

I think the OP is talking about Router MAC to change his IP and nothing about Amazon or PC MAC....
