Changing Stealth Information?

Hi Everyone!

I have been selling stealth for almost a year now, slowly building feedback, no negatives or unhappy customers... and I'm ready and wanting to change my stealth seller name to something that pertains more to what I sell. Is this safe to do? Am I better off opening a store with the name I want?

Also, with stealth information, is it safe to change the shipping information to a different state/address and change the name to a business name?

Sorry for all the questions. I just purchased the book and have been reading through it all day. Thanks everyone :)

very interesting question..this could kind of benefit me..so i'll await an answer from some more experienced VIPs..

I have found that people really dont care what name you have. They look at price more then anything. Some names can even increase risk...i.e. DVDwholesaler, etc...

Your doing good running a year, why jeopardize? Create another and chose name you want.

As for address, phone, email stuff like that.... Never delete, just add...

If you have backups you can try it but for an account that is this old and if it is doing well I would leave it.

I sell antiques on a name like

HappyJoesStuff

On another account-

I can tell you from experience I have had some nasty buyers who held it against me for having an antique name and called and antique something they did not agree with.

They stated that with a user name like that I should have known more.

I was right anyway but its the idiot buyers who try and find any advantage they can like this.

Thanks newjerseymax.

My main reason for asking about changing personal info, is I recently had a customer who I to agreed exchange an item for. I was concerned because I printed the shipping label from PP with the stealth address. Thankfully, we communicated via email and she shipped to my real address, but this has been weighing on me that all my labels have stealth info...

So you suggest adding an address? I even though just ordering sticky return address labels and putting them over the printed address... but I don't think the PO would like that

Thanks Sandy D!

It was one of "those" idiotic buyers who put me in this panic! I sell beauty products - and she clearly opened and tried everything and then claimed they were used and wanted a refund. It's someone like her, that will ruin my seller reputation that I've slowly worked at for a LONG time!

Sorry, so many questions... any opinions on opening a eBay store now? Is it worth it?

You will have those idiots.

That is why is do not sell a lot of high end top dollar items because buyers believe you are a testing ground for them.

I had one buyer actually tell me something was a wrong color. I said it was blue and they said I never told them it was navy blue. Amazing.

Buying take advantage of every issue.

Lately I have been getting a lot of buyers tell me an item is broken. When I asked them to send me pictures of the broken item I get "I tossed it", "I dont have a camera" ( one sells on ebay and has a camera ) and one said, hey you are required by ebay to purchase insurance and you did not so you owe me the price of insurance which is part of the shipping cost.

Unreal.
