Account opened today asking for id/bill
 

Hi,

I have opened my first stealth pp account today. I wanted to lift the limits so step by step I was doing everything paypal asked for (mostly filling some info) Then I have been asked to confirm my personal details so I typed it exactly the same name and address as I used to set up the account. Then I got this message:
'We have done some checks and unfortunately the information you have entered doesn't match the details we found for you.
Please click on the Upload or fax documents link.'

I have never used the details before so could it not match? how could they find anything if the details have not been used previously?
They want ID and bill documents.
Shall I fax them Stealth documents now? anyone can help...? :(

Please do not tell me to read the Stealth guide to get my answer as I did read it, even twice :).

This is because obviously as its stealth they cannot match your details with public records so you need to think outside the box and give them what they need

Just send in your 'stealth docs'
The quicker you do it the better :p

You have nothing to lose..unless you are happy using that paypal account with the current receiving limits.

The quicker I send the docs the better - 1-2 days is OK? or more like 5mins? ;) cannot do it straight away...

What people are trying to say is you will need to send in docs either way be it now or later on in time - the sooner the better to be honest - no one is saying 1-2 or mins - it's upto you when you want to send them.

Can take from a few hours to a week to confirm once sent i'd say - depending on how busy PayPal are.

It's one hassle out of the way.

PM a mod (purple name) for more info on documents.

1-2 days is fine, it takes them around 72 hours to respond sometimes. So rather send them as soon as you can to avoid longer delays.

They asked for documents because you do not show on the electoral role at the address you gave. No big deal as people move all the time.

As advised already contact a 'purple person' for further detailed advise on the way forward

When I set up the account I put business address (opened business account) and the address says 'offices'
Can the address on my Stealth ID not match my pp address? It would be risky to put an address that says 'offices' on the driving licence or id...

Bit more complex - have you registered as a limited company or as a T/a?

I am self employed, opened pp business account but chose 'individual' instead of 'sole proprietor'.
Also the company name that I put down does not match my real company name. The office address is the same as for my actual company.

As a limited company you can submit your certificate of incorporation plus the ID of the contact person nominated. As a sole proprietor you will need to submit personal ID (Be careful here) plus proof that your business exists and is at the place you say - think logically here and it all becomes simple and doable
