Ebay Top Seller Tracking Requirements Problems

I don't get it. According to Ebay on one of my ids I had 10 sales for the month of May. Only 8 of them had the tracking uploaded quick enough (that in itself is wrong). But the deal is that only USA transaction are supposed to count for this requirement. Two of the sales were to Canada. Is that why there is a problem?

They shouldn't even have 10 transactions counted. It should only be 8 since there were only 8 USA transactions.

Also, one says no tracking was ever loaded. I'm so confused, they all have tracking numbers.

This whole deal has been flawed since the beginning. Anyone else having problems and ways around them?

Looking to hear more into this too.. I lost my top rated sellers badge because of this new update and I no longer save 20% on fee. When you total up your 100% ebay fees of the month, you'll start seeing how significant these 20% cuts can be, its a huge cost saving. Now they squeezed it and I don't think there is a way around it but I have heard people uploading random tracking numbers just to stay 'TOP'

I agree that it seems to "miss" some tracking numbers for whatever reason. I have to believe they will fix this.

Has anyone ever tried inputting BS tracking #s before midnight on the items you don't have tracking info for yet so that you can remain above 90% on tracking uploaded requirement?

eBay's system checks to make sure the tracking number is valid. HOWEVER - that is just a mathematical check - the last digit of a tracking number is a check digit. If it does not add, then eBay will reject the tracking number.

The USPS has green forms for delivery confirmation with valid tracking numbers on them. They WILL fool eBay's system. THE CATCH is that eBay updates tracking information. So, if they find that you have a lot of numbers that never update, they could penalize you in some way or even close your account.

YES, the new requirements are a pain in the (insert expletive here) but my advice is to try to meet them legiitimately if at all possible.
