Just some fun facts on Flash Cookies: - They're not located in your browser!
- You can view your Flash Cookies by going here: Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Website Storage Settings panel
- Deleting your browser cookies won't get rid of them
- You have to delete them by using the above link
- EBay will sometimes limit your account if it can't find your Flash cookie when you're listing an item, or changing your account details.
- Once enabled by eBay, a lot of people are going to get linked accounts if they don't take action now to protect their accounts.
- There is a solution.

So when viewing the link you have above, if nothing shows up then that means no flash cookies currently stored on your computer correct? Does anyone know if the limitations regarding flash cookies already started?

So we can just go to Global Storage Settings and uncheck the "Allow third-party flash content" and that will prevent flash cookies from being stored on our computers?

EBay will check to see if the cookie is there, if it's not they will start asking you to verify your account, usually be phone verification.
Flash cookies aren't live yet, but they'll be here soon.

So, Aspkin--Am I Correct in doing this...
a.) CREATE a USER for each Ebay acct within Windows XP
b.) Then--USE ONLY that Particular User--(Log in to that User)--from the accts screen
i.e.
Ebay user name: Torpedo123
User acct within windows xp--
Admin,
New,
Paul,
Suzy,
Torpedo123
>> When you wish to switch users-- Log off/switch users- then now log into that other acct.
>>ALL the time maintaining the ebay cookies just for that particular acct--But NOT linking the other users??
(Thought newbies wouldnt understand unless spelled out..)

yes but you have to change your IP when you log in the other account.
you can also clean the cookies from your browser but not the Flash Cookies in each Windows user account.
Good Luck.

That's it ebayhateluv, having a 'User Account' for each eBay account you have, will separate the files between users, including flash cookies. The eBook explains this pretty well, I'll let you know when it's ready to download again.
Cheers!

Is it really necessary to go through the trouble of creating all the USER IDs? Why can't you just go onto the flash cookie folder and move them out of there and just swap the file in. Or would the flash system have trouble recognizing this.
Also eBay likely is using flash to spy on the internals of your computer. I don't know what flash can read, maybe MAC address?

This is so much easier to understand broken down like this. Thanks so much for the info. So by creating the different Windows users you don't have to delete the cookies then right? And if you delete them, it only will delete them for the specified user you are logged in under correct?

If none are listed, then you don't have any to worry about. Just check it often.

Okay I'm getting them now when I have to update my credit card on eBay. Right now I'm just deleting them. I haven't had to do the phone call verification thing yet. I gotta figure out why my dial-up speed is slower on other Window User accounts first cause its killing me. LOL

if i create separate windows user accounts per ebay accounts, should i delete the regular cookies everytime i close firefox ?
another question, ebay only plant the flash cookies when you start to sell or buy items?
if i create a new ebay seller account but dont list any item, ebay would plant flash cookies ?
i normally create new ebay accounts then wait for 30 or 60 days to sell.
