E bay verifying seller info for every new seller account

Does anyone else have to verify who they are whenever they set up a new seller account by calling in answering multiple questions? I have followed all the steps in the guide and have even had feedback of 10 or more before opening a seller account waiting 60 days and only selling movies.:ban?:

uh oh. this sucks. I think the guide is in need of some updating for sure

Selling movies.

Not exactly the perfect thing to open an account with.

Welcome to the forum.:yar:

My bottom line is this appears to be happening if a new account gets 'flagged'.

Define what your steps have been if you dont mind.

Define 'movies' as they can be trouble

i haven't had the issue yet. are you using the option to create a seller account of are you listing an item first.

They probably have more time on their hands to check new accounts, in off-season.

I doubt that - there is something else going on here.

I think i had to do this today.

Had all my info in front of me and it was fine>

She did ask if it was my computer i was using and also said she was asking a couple of things from public records, how long have i lived at my house and middle name.

i did 4 new accounts from top to bottom yesterday

no problems for me

bansheezone 06-09-2012 04:13 PM

yep, no issues. Just build the accounts right, take your time is the most important thing to do plus what you sell. Be easy:nerd:
