Name variation question.

Hello, i already have 1 stealth account, and im just about to create my second account tomorrow. I have a question about name variation

How different should my name be to my other stealth account, especially as im going to be selling in the same catergory as my other stealth account, which is i would say of a medium market size. Would simply changing 1 leter get me caught? or should i change several? Also, am i ok just changing my first name and leaving my surname, as i know if i change it too much i may have problems getting the money to my bank account.

Thanks for any help, Best forum in the world!!

Of course it would be safer to make the names totally different.
Risky not changing the surname.
The more you change the name, the safer it will be in my opinion.

Could you please provide an example of how different you would do it if your name was "Mike Midle" obviously this isnt my realy name, or anyones that i know, just this would be helpful for me. Thanks

Careful selection of the bank excludes that problem 99% of the time.

Your limiting your thinking tbf.

Have you considered a business name :spy:

What are the banks that arnt too strick on name variations? i understand you might not want to share this information openly, so if you could PM me i would really apprecate it.

Everyone except LLoyd's TSB. I would recommend a Barclays cash card account, as they are easy to open (no credit check/score), have no issues with an entirely different name and my deposits from PayPal all go in after just 1 day.

Thanks for all the help, just still a little unsure on how much i can change my real name for my new stealth account. And as i said i already have 1 account thats going to be selling items in the same catergory with a name variation already, so dont want to mess it up and loose both accounts.

Thanks for all your help.

I've considered multiple business names, so far 100% effective. :peace:

I would totally change the name. If you are worried about the bank simply go into te

bank and explain to them you will be recieving payments in the name.....

With abit of charm and confidence they will be eating out of your hand in no time :thumb:

king123 06-07-2012 03:18 PM

Ok thanks, i might do that, just change the name considerably, then go into my local branch, ask to speak to someone and say ill be receving payments from this name because thats my ebay account blah blah blah.
