had to call ebay
 

I have an account that I had created ages ago and kind of forgot about it. So i managed to log into it, created a PP acc, started off the added a bank and setup entropay today and added a VCC( as i tried to list something and it wouldnt let me without adding a credit card).

Listed the item and then went to go back into it to add a photo and it said i had to call ebay with a security code. I just confirmed all the details and then they said they would ask me a public information question, my middle name and how long i have lived at the address. I answered both and they said i should now be able to make the change. She also asked if it was my computer that i was using just now.

Any ideas what this is all about?

I have 2 different accounts, use different browsers, different ebay listing style and use a different sim for each account(same dongle).

Is it because i havent logged into the old account, set up a PP acc and then tried to sell straight away after 2 days? Old account over a year old but only ever bought one item?

probably due to inactivity - looks like a hack maybe....

anyway, they did their job right and doublechecked, so it is ok...
