selling limits for new accounts
 

ive had a week of experimenting heavily with new account limits

random are they ?

im not so sure

ive ceated accounts in different ways in different ORDERS of doing things

they might be random BUT in one paticular way ive done it ive got 100% hits and got 100 limits each time WITHOUT THE NEED FOR LETTERS SENT

on the other ones each and everytime ive had the "we will send a letter"

coincidence ? research says not

but ill stand corrected if im wrong

At what point do you get the 'we will send a letter' message? When you become a seller with 10 items / £650 per month or at the bank verification stage?

When you attempt to raise the limits to 100/£3500, so yes when you attempt to link to your verified PayPal.

So on a new account you just added a a verified paypal it let you raise your limits?

That was how it was before 100% of the time, in the UK. Now it is hit and miss like the OP said.

Very strange, i've not come across this one (and hope I never do)!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this Imake£ . I have an idea myself of when and why the occur...but it is just an idea ;)

I too would be very interested in this, I'm sure its not entirely random..I made a few accounts in a particular way and i made notes. One had the 10 items per month limit....the other had no selling limits (unlimited item listing) - I am going to repeat the same method as soon as i get a bank account(!)

I just made 2 new accounts today in a completely different way than I normally do after reading this thread, and got the 100 items when I confirmed my PayPal account. I have been holding off on making new accounts due to my fears of the selling limits (and was kicking myself because I didn't make more accounts before they introduced the change) but I am relieved that my method evades it.

Let me find a bank...I should have at least one soon and ill 100% be sure to post back/PM. I have trouble getting banks btw lol

Hi they screwed me too, how do you open accounts with the 100 limits without getting letter sent?? can you tell me please? :help:

Do you actuall verify Paypal account before turning it into sellers account and how long do you wait before doing so?
