Are the PayPal requests inevitable these days?

Hello, so on every account of mine so far, I eventually get the supplier information/invoice/ID/hooha request if I want to withdraw the cash. It makes no difference if I withdraw the next day after positive feedback or a month later. This is even after slow selling (1 item per day). I left the money in there for over a month, and all was fine, no complaints. Then on Sunday I decided to withdraw, and yesterday morning (Tuseday) I got the limitation. Thankfully all the cash had cleared from PayPal's system on Monday so I got the cash before the limitation.

So it looks like it is unavoidable to me... there seems to be no pleasing PayPal any more.

How new are they?

I haven't experienced this.

The are from April. I used to sell quite a bit last year and withdraw often, and never had any problems. So maybe it is just newer accounts.

I realised that it is specifically the second withdrawal that gets the limitation. The first goes through fine... then you get hit on the second.

They do that with high risk items I've noticed.

When I sell bed sheets, nothing.
But when I sell earphones, I get the same thing when I try to withdraw.

I have experienced the same problem, two of my accounts are hit with these limitations. My second account I didn't even withdraw, made a payment for a purchase on eBay, and it's gone.

The first account I have provided a few of the requested documents, and received an email from PayPal saying Appeal Denied, they want to close my account. I'm so confused now.

I have several account over a year old and never had a limitation at all.

A couple are close to 2 years old and never been limited.

I know. I don't even bother to try to salvage them, since they are almost certainly going to shut the account down. Ah well. That's why I try to not get too attached to any account and make them as disposable as possible.

I speculated that it could be something they do to newer accounts, so accounts of that age don't count. Do you have any newer ones?

Just bumping this up.
