I'm curious about this too. I had a claim opened against me, closed and decided in the buyer's favor in literally one hour. It was unreal and the first Paypal claim I've ever had. I never even got a chance to respond!

The buyer is a total cock and trying to keep the item and the $300 he paid for it. Right now, all we could get Paypal to do is agree to tell him to return the item.

This experience has scared the crap out of me.

It's usually botted unfortunately.

They must get thousands of disputes every day. That would be too much for human beings to manage so they must save time with substandard bots. The work they do is incredibly poor and questionable but why should PayPal care when it saves them time and money?

lol. But since you get limited even after sending in the requested documents most of the time, I almost believe that a bot does the same for these.

i thought it was a bot..i wondered because i'm still in dispute with the guy who i did video work for..i did some video editing for him of 17 videos and it took me ages 8-9 hours..he opened a dispute after..but instead of opening it as 'services/intangible items' which i found out aren't covered by the paypal buyer protection, he's opened is an ebay item dispute..with missing parts..so ive put in that it wasn't an ebay transaction anyway..so i jw

I Totally Disagree with this. PayPal is not botted, they are just all looked up upon the same ways.

If you call them you will get better service.

They use a few factors and quickly get through them.
Call PayPal 1 day, it can take them less than a minute to find out the problem.
Then call them again a minute later A new person.

This is absolutely true. A real paypal worker will actually look into your issue if you call them, rather than their standard procedured bot handle everything.

so am o honestly better to call paypal and say to them that this is a scam? i actually put in detailed information all the fiverr order, the original electronic delievery links (sendspace etc) and ive put that this wasnt at all an ebay item.

(the buyers said 'missing parts' on a ebay item and filed a dispute' then in comments hes put 'i wasn't happy with the video editing done, as i paid for 2 days delievery but he took 2 hours and delievered too fast' - i'm like wtf ?..

just im wary about ringing paypal..i think its worsens the situation..this is a stealth account so would you recommend ringing them?

what would you recommend me saying to them i always lose my temper with paypal..just ive explained the situation above..

Aw, heck. bump here is not going to help.

It's now Saturday. paypal could sit on this until Monday. It's a canned response as you know.

tbf, it's in a pile of work gathering dust. If you are in a calm submissive state of mind, try phoning. Otherwise wait.

Yeah that's true perhaps a longer member can tell you this. As i've ordered some simcards so I can use them on seperate line to ring paypal/ebay (i got their direct number now :P but perhaps a older member can tell us if ebay can see your number even on with held. I know before i read on the forums from a landline that ebay/paypal can detect your number, but I have called ebay on withheld from my mobile before and i wondered if they can..perhaps greenbean knows
