Brand new UK user. I bought the guide a few days ago and have read it fully and understand it - I think.

I have a plan brewing in my head. I don't currently have any problems with my eBay account (TRS silver Powerseller). However I'm thinking of having kids, and I hate the idea that a few dodgy customers could take away my families security, so I'm wanting to create some back up account if it all goes horridly wrong.

The biggest anxiety I have is somehow tarnishing my 7 year old TRS account by linking it to a stealth account with 'interesting' details.

I also notice in the book that using family members details is encouraged, but here on the forum, people think it's a no no. I'm wondering whats up with that? I want an account related to a real address with a real name so that i can upload documents to paypal ebay etc if they request it and I have an aged relative who doesn't even own a computer who has lived at their address for 35 years. Some clarification on this would help.

I would say that normally people advise against using someone you know's information on ebay/paypal because if you ever got that account suspended then the name of that person is wrecked on ebay/paypal.

But since you say you have an elderly relative who doesn't even own a computer (highly unlikely to ever use ebay/paypal)and want to use there information, i would say this is alright as long as you tell them about your plans regarding Ebay and make sure they are okay with this, also you will probably get your returns sent to that address.

but OP answering your question..people aren't so much 'a big no' against family details, its just that say if you mess up on a stealth account..you don't just ruin the address, (your ip) but also your family's so if your going to use a stealth you need to have done your research in a name and of course the best way is the way the book says..adjust a few letters in your own name..need i say anymore you have the book..read it :)
