I called ebay because one of my customers' phone number was not correct. The ebay agent quickly searched the USPS database to make sure the name and the address matched. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to match that information within seconds. She told me that if the name and address don't match up, then it raises an immediate flag. I imagine this might be old news but its something new I learned and thought I would share.

To me this sounds more like the ebay agent checked the name and address on the account against public records. Public records definitely show name and address matching up and this could easily be referred to as a USPS database. Anyone who wants to and pays can have access to this same information. So if the ebay agent sees that the name and address aren't matching in public info, red flag.
