| pitviper | 06-19-2012 09:18 PM | T-mobile dongle Fyi usa people. T-mobile has a special deal going on now for buying a 4g usb dongle. I just ordered one. It was 19.99 plus free ship for a refurbished usb dongle with a bonus 15.00 data card. This is for the no contract variety. It is a refurb, but so what for 20.00. Ontheir website to order, saw the ad on cnet. Worth a try. Just passing info along, hope it is useful.. |

Just dont expect it to be same speed as iphone... My area was much slower... |
| moneyhustler88 | 06-20-2012 05:09 AM | t mobile's tethering is really good..I have them in UK and it's so cheap here i pay 99p a month for unilimited usage internet it's laughable :) helped me so much with stealthing |
I've been using my T-Mobile Rocket 4G and I love it. I can now stop using my phone. |

If so, do you get a completely new ip every time, or do just the last 3 numbers change [sometimes].
I have used them for ages, but recently the ip's have started to not change completely, just wondering if anyone elses do that now? |
@andyf777, even if you get 1 or 2 digits change it's all good. You only need the IP to change by 1 digit. Hopefully someone can answer your question for the UK. |
| lightmaria | 06-20-2012 04:42 PM | Is this better than the verizon dongle? o_O thats what I use. |

Sometimes it doesnt change at all |

For people using the t mobile dongle you can unlock it to use other sims aswell. I have mine and use a O2 sim in it along with a tmobile one. |
| moneyhustler88 | 06-21-2012 01:16 PM | i tether from a mobile phone sim card..and my iP changes every single time..sometimes by the last 3 digits..but 99% of the time completely.. |

| jamcocktail21 | 06-21-2012 07:39 PM | verizon is much better tried t-mobile before bad experience |
I suppose it also depends on the location, some people said the T-Mobile wasn't working that great but for me it's working. We all gotta find that 1 that works good. |
| lightmaria | 06-21-2012 07:55 PM | Verizons pretty darn fast for me, except it feels expensive. 50 bucks for 1gb. But I think all dongles are that costly =x |
@lightmaria Is that per month, or until you run out? |
| jamcocktail21 | 06-21-2012 09:00 PM | $50 per month for 1GB or $80 for 5gb |
| lightmaria | 06-21-2012 09:18 PM | Its yeah like he said 50 bucks per 1 gb and it per month. Because regardless if you use it all up or not it gives you a set time.
like if you buy on June 1st its gonna expire on july 1st regardless if you have some data to use or not. And the data doesn't rollover if you have extra. |
I'm on the 1.5gb - $25 a month plan right now, also the same...for 1 month. |
| lightmaria | 06-21-2012 11:10 PM | what..what do you use? |
| unkown5454 | 06-22-2012 12:18 AM | Wal Mart is releasing a new service running on SPrint's network. WHat's different here is that the data you purchase is good for 1yr from the day you bought it or until you use up the data. NEVER has that existed in the mobile industry for data. Some of you may like this feature better because if you aren't uploading pictures or streaming media, you use a lot less data then you think! |
| unkown5454 | 06-22-2012 12:58 AM | Ha, that's the one! :thumb: :thumb: |
| download3000 | 06-23-2012 12:22 AM | Tmobile is good though sometimes i get double ip's with the dongle and with the phone i went thru about 120ips in less than a month and used all the ips so after that it was useless and that cost $70 i rec you get that anyways since its only $30 more unlimited service and 5gb of data for $70. |
| lightmaria | 06-23-2012 10:57 AM | the reviews on amazon for the tmboile are so bad lol everyone gave it a 1 star. ppl were like the internet isnt reliable and customer service sucks and hard to set up ect ect. O_O |
| unkown5454 | 06-23-2012 01:05 PM | Yes, but many reviews like that come from people who don't know much about computers or cell phones to begin with. I have never seen a dongle of MiFi box that was hard to set up. That's ridiculous.
Now, complaints on signal strength with T-Mobile data is common. |
| pitviper | 06-23-2012 03:34 PM | Tmobike dongle Update.. I ordered the rocket 3.0 dongle. And just received email from tmobile, that they are sold out..i placed order days ago, but was contacted today. Anyways hey offered me jet 2.0 for same price 19.99 plus 35.00 data card. We will see...:> |
| moneyhustler88 | 06-25-2012 02:41 PM | for uK users i just found out giffgaff are offering for £10 250 anytime minutes, unlimited giff gaff to giff gaff network calls, unlimited texts and unlimited internet..so this is also a very cheap stealth option alternative for people for tethering |
| J1mgg | 06-25-2012 04:22 PM | For uk users as well, a cheap solution for getting a number and being used for data is ovivo.
Please read the TnCs though but it gets pretty good comments on a forum. Not sure if I am allowed to post the link though.
200mins, 200 texts and 512mb of data on PAYG sim. Says tethering is allowed but I think you have to have it in a smart phone and you will receive texts messages on it or some other stuff as well.
I betterbaddbthe price, it is £5 up front. |

It is against Giffgaff's T&C's to tether on the goodybag above. They will terminate your data connection.
They do however provide data only gigabags which are expressly for tethering or pad use.
These cost £5 for 500mb, £7.50 for 1gb or £12.50 for 3gb all of which last 1 month. However if you use all the data before the end of the month then you cannot buy another and have to use the PAYG option which is still very cheap. |
| moneyhustler88 | 06-26-2012 12:18 PM | yeah t mobiles good but i read somewhere apparently ur not even meant to use the data internet packages for contracts on tethering haha lol funny..i use mine to tether all the time on bb..its so fast and good..:heh: |

| Nissan2nr22 | 06-26-2012 02:55 PM | I'm still deciding which dongle to get here in America. I'd love to get the verizon 4g one but its just so much money compared to the others.
T-mobile apparently sucks ass and doesnt give new ip's all the time. |
| unkown5454 | 06-26-2012 05:16 PM | SPR.INT...VIR.GIN MOB.ILE...those are the budget providers who have large IP ranges. |
| moneyhustler88 | 06-26-2012 06:55 PM | yah never used them ^ t mobiles range isn't bad tbf |
| unkown5454 | 06-26-2012 07:43 PM | You are UK though...I don't know about Virgin out there. I was commenting on USA experience. |
| lialu | 06-26-2012 11:41 PM | virgin mobile broadband 2 go Hello people..Just a quick question..I have 2 devices ( virgin mobile 2 go )..I used 2 dif personal informations.. | totallylegit | 07-08-2012 02:57 PM | Hello,
Shoot me if this sounds so stupid but why do we need to get a different ip every time? Ebay just did a whole phone verification thing with one of my accounts last night, due to not recognizing me, etc.. So now I have to restart my phone/tethering many times until I get that same ip when I try to sign into that account, is that what we do?
AH , I keep track of ips and make sure to clear cookies and never sign into one account with an ip that has been used on another. What am i missing here? Please advise? Quote:

| pitviper | 07-08-2012 03:06 PM | They probably did t recognize your computer, since you clear cookies every time. I had this happen once with my old legit account. They called to verify, thinking it was a diff computer or something. Prob nothing to do with ip. People with old dial up get different ips everytime. Also with mobile broadband and cell data plans, get a range if ip's, usually different. So eb knows this, so it wasnt the ip. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:02 AM. | |
