IP address (HELP) for Stealth account!?
 

Hello there - I’m looking to create an eBay stealth account, just to be safe (in case one of my legit accounts gets suspended)

I currently live in Toronto, Canada but have a friend who lives in Calgary, Canada (4 hour flight away). I want to use his name & address to create a Stealth eBay account (with his permission of course).

He wouldn’t have a clue how to use an eBay account, so I’d have to be using it myself, from my home in Toronto. This means I’d have to do something about my IP address, correct? I’d assume that: 1) it would have to be different than my legit account’s IP and 2) be an IP located in the Calgary area. How can I do this? Is this only possible with a VPN? Or is there any another way????? (preferably free) Because I think I’ve read that some VPNs won’t work with eBay or that they detect you’re using one or something. Is that right?

(I’ve already purchased the Stealth guide by the way. ) Just looking for some direct help. Thanks in advance!

First, don't make an account in anyone's name that you know, relative or friend. If you do plan to make a stealth account(s), they need to be totally different...that means name, address, phone etc.

For your IP situation, there are several options:
1. Learn to change your IP with your modem
2. Use a smartphone to tether to your PC to get new IP's
3. Use a Dongle

I'm not from Canada so I don't know how effective a VPN is for Ebay/PP. You have to spend money to make money so your not going to find a "FREE" service to help.

What the hell are you talking about? "don't make an account in anyone's name that you know." This is clearly mentioned as something I should do, in the eBay stealth guide. If I use a random name, address, etc., then I can't get it verified..Obviously the name isn't going to be the same last or first name as mine, and neither is the address or phone # the same. So wtf?

You don't even have any reasons at all, on why I shouldn't be using a friend's name - even a family member's who lives at a different address.

First, why don't you calm the f*ck down. If you don't like the advice then do whatever the hell you want. With that kind of s**t attitude no one will help you.

LOL might want to take your own advice buddy. You just tried telling me the opposite of something the eBay stealth guide says I should do without even explaining. Might want to explain that, otherwise you're probably insane
