I reached the requirements for top rated seller, but for some reason , I do not see the status of my account changed(it should change on the 20th, if I'm not mistaken) My account is 5 months and 20 days old, has around 120 transactions, 99 in the us, 14 feedback, all positive, no dsr below 4.8 and no cases opened or low dsr... Does anyone know what the problem is?

It does not always happen exactly on the evaluation date. It could change tomorrow. If not, you will need to dig deeper.

120 transactions.. Is this all Selling transactions?
You need at least 100 Selling transactions to become a TRS..

If you qualify you'll automatically see the symbol, I just had 1 today with 67 seller feedback become top rated, 14 seller fb sounds pretty low.

One of my accounts got the TRS yesterday.

Is everything that you are required to do to become one, green ticked on your seller performance?

yep everything is at the requirements, and all my transactions are from selling

You can get the TRS account but you first need to operate well to get there :) All the best.

TRS account is golden...I lost TRS yesterday for .02% over on DSR limit grr...

My sales have dropped cold so far from 40 a day to less than 20

ive had a similar thing but .01 sales hit hard too

also another account gone from above standard to below standard gone form 10 sales a day to 0

I just found out that the auctions at the very top are featured first and it costs big money. I thought if you got to TRS you got those top spots. My enthusiasm for TRS has just died ha

I thought "Featured First" was cancelled back in 2010. No???

Featured first is long gone but yeah you do get placed higher in search results and can sell items at higher prices and ebay also takes your side more, so yeah trs equals more money and longer lasting accounts, at least for me it does anyway.

Can someone from ebay UK confirm that featured first isnt around anymore? If it isnt my enthusiasm for TRS has returned.

I've got a handful of ebay accounts i am selling on at the moment. Only one of these accounts hasnt had to issue lots of refunds. I was selling terrible items that kept failing so it was my own fault.

The one account that is fine is gonna take me so long to reach the £2000 in sales due to the speed of sales and price of sales. Something to aim for though! TRS is my short term goal.

ouch! Seems like it's a pain the arse to get TRS but massively easy to get shot down.

14 feedback? i dont think you can have 120 transactions with 14 feedback, ask those guys to leave feedback for you... I think u need 100 feedback to

Oh yeah very easy to lose that sh!t... lost mine in 2 days!

Basically, if you have 199 customers who left you 3, 4 or 5 stars on your DSR's, you are allowed ONE customer to leave you 1 or 2 stars on your DSR's. Anything more than that and you will LOSE your TRS status. And just losing it in ONE DSR category will trigger the loss.

So, YES, it is VERY EASY to lose your TRS status.

With the new requirements for Top Rated Sellers it is now EASIER to be one right?

I don't see how. If anything, it will be EASIER to lose. Now, 90%+ of your shipments MUST be within 24 hours to keep your TRS and qualify for the discount. And, you have to offer AT LEAST a 14 day money back guarantee. That is IN ADDITION to all of the previous requirements.

I just reached top rated on several accounts and really could care less other then the little discount you get.

It DOES also give you a boost in "best match" so you may see an increase in sales. During times I lost my TRS status for 30-60 days, I noticed a 20% decrease in sales. Coupled with the loss of the 20% discount, it DID hurt a little.

Of course, you can still easily do business on eBay without it.

You are correct but I wont lose any sleep over it and I assume you wont either.

Work your butt off to get to that point and all it takes is a couple lousy buyers and away it goes.

Do I lose any sleep over it? No.

Would I PREFER to have it? Yes.

I just do my best and realize this is one thing that I really cannot control. I've never had an account go below "Above Standard". But I think that eBay does not really want all of the TRS to get the 20% discounts, but they also don't want to just eliminate it. So, they keep making it more and more difficult.

The ONE THING that really bugs me, is the big boys, like Buy.com ALWAYS maintain TRS status. I find it hard to believe that a large company can do business in huge volumes and have LESS than 1 out of every 200 customers complaining about something. I have to believe that eBay has "special rules" for SOME sellers.

I have a account that has nearly the needed amount to make PS. It also has all the DSRs covered. But i dont think i have had 14 day returns set. Where do i do this? My auctions all say returns are accepted but i dont see how i can set the amount of days.

I have also had a handful of buyers open mini dispute type things saying item isnt as described and would like refunds. When this happens i refund right away. Will this affect potential PS and TRS. Like i say though my item as described DSR is fine at 4.8.

Of course they do.. That is why when these guys sign up they automatically get special treatment. ebay knows they will be BIG money with minimal problems for them and dont have to worry about vero or any of those other things that comes with dealing with "small" sellers.

Here's my sellers breakdown. Can someone please tell me if i will qualify at this rate?

Transactions - 170
Item as described ave - 4.8, LOW RATINGS 2 so roughly 1%

the other 3 have averages ranging from 4.8 to 4.9 and none of them have low DSR ratings.

Open cases - 1 so roughly 0.5%

Too many low ratings :(

One note that I might add from some observation and personal experience - if your performance goes down and you lose TRS status...your chances of being suspended/banned go up due to selling failure...

You also need to be a powerseller to get TRS.

You can only have 0.5% of your transactions rated below 2 stars. In other words you can have a MAX of one low rating for every 200 transactions or bye-bye TRS. It's ridiculous really.
