I've fallen foul of UK customs. Twice I've been charged tax in the last couple of weeks and now have had one siezed for destruction. ( Got a letter from representative of the trade name) Have I been flagged? If I change the recipient name would that do it? New address would be difficult. I know that I've got to spread the orders out to stop backup at customs. Any advise from the experts would be welcome.

On some shipments, tax & import duties are to be expected & levied on certain goods in addition to the shipping & insurance charges, so why is this a surprise to you ???

What category items are you importing (i.e brand name clothes/electronics/software etc etc) ???

You have received a letter from a brand owner &/or one package seizure for destruction....the letter would have outlined the basis for this destruction order, no ???

What makes you think that changing the end recipient address or such details would have any bearing on these mandatory import custom & exercise levies & import duties ???

It would help if you responded to these questions &/or explained in a bit more detail.

Branded clothes (copies). I've no doubt I'm one of many. No problem with import duties, that's just the luck of the draw. My posting was to enquire if I have been flagged for future imports and how to avoid problems in the future

you may have been flagged, best to switch address at least for 6 months....

how to avoid problems? look you know the answer to that, you are doing something that
can incur seizures, that is the risk you take.....

VeRO copies means you risk having to change your new address now & again upon future detection.

Name variation worked for me.... Even reversing letter in name worked.... Example name Max I used Xam instead and then went through fine... Address you can switch stuff around 20th street to unit 1 20 st
