Paypal's new verification check

Hello,

I created a new business stealth account the other day and the verification process has somewhat changed.

In addition to providing a bank account, they now ask for your personal user information so they can confirm whether you actually live at the address you supply.

If you get this wrong 2 times, you have to upload documents to prove you live there.

Has anyone overcome this, and if so how.

Thank You

NoneOther 07-02-2012 09:59 AM

Standard for all p/p accounts now, not just business ones.

You will have to provide them what they have asked for now.

And has anyone been sucessfull in doing that with a stealth account?

Elijah 07-02-2012 10:27 AM

Yes, you just have to supply documents. If you are unable/unsure how to do this then contact GreenBean (the name is a link).

Thanks Elijah!

I never experienced anything like this......

sergfro 07-02-2012 02:14 PM

Probably not the case for USA accounts

Sandy D 07-02-2012 05:46 PM

I am making new accounts all the time and have not yet ran into this.

NoneOther 07-03-2012 04:02 AM

Only applies to UK accounts

Ebayorbust 07-03-2012 07:33 AM

As NoneOther has said this does not apply to US accounts but to UK ones.

This has been in place for well over a year now. You used to be able to remove the £1900 receiving limit by confirming a card expuse number and completing a landline phone number verification.

The doc request to lift the £1900 limit is easy peasy to get round. Drop Greenbean a PM for assistance.

Why is it just the UK? anyone have any ideas? It seems our ebay USA friends have it much easier than us.

Elijah 07-04-2012 07:04 AM

They have SSN to contend with though. Once we get past the documents request we are free to make as much as we like on stealth (as long as they don't suspend you for some retarded reason), so I'd say that we have it easier actually.

Not really. USA get asked for SSN.

Touch wood, spits, nothing like that for the UK yet.

Civil Liberties did some good there :pop2:

What can i say i was wrong! It doesnt happen often but i was wrong :)

arshavin 07-04-2012 04:49 PM

I've just read some threads regarding the SSN problem.

I saw that just 200 sales can trigger the SSN request. Am i right in thinking that stealth accounts in the USA are never ever going to be long term deals?

You'd need to be churning out new bank accounts at a silly rate just to keep going!

Of course not.

You are SO off with this thinking. And you are taking the thread off topic too.

Many USA users have practices in place that conform to the IRS needs....:focus:

Supoiiib. Its funny how ppl find ways round things.

Sorry for derailing the thread.
