I know this has been covered in some variation or another, but im curious if this scenario is played out by any of you guys.
In the UK, im finding that opening more than a few bank accounts is not the easiest thing to do - even my own bank questions me and refused me more than one additional account.
In certain countries it is obviously possible to link just a Credit or debit Card to the paypal account - Slovakia, Latvia etc - I believe there are quite a few who they allow this option with.
If you had a UK based stealth selling account, is it possible to have a card only withdrawal option using a paypal account in one of these countries?
I realise again from reading that you would need the IP to match up to the country you are selling in - but what about those folks who lived in eastern europe and moved to the UK and are now selling on ebay UK but still using their existing Eastern European Paypal account?
I see lots of adverts stating delivery from the Poland etc, but they are clearly advertising on ebay.co.uk and I would assume taking payment to their home country based paypal account.
If the IP was really an issue would a VPN sort this?
For me, the option to be able to have other paypal accounts and to be able to add the like of an entropay card to it, then withdraw to that entropay card and use it like a debit card would be amazing and would certainly solve the need for lots and lots of bank accounts that I simply cant get in the UK at this time.
Are any of you good folks doing this successfully at present?
Am I barking up the wrong tree completely lol...
Thanks,
Global. |

| oompaloompa | 07-06-2012 11:16 AM | you are not barking up wrong tree regards to operating euro accs from UK, if using correct IP, but the card withdrawl issue is more complicated, that requires a card issued by that countries bank usually, virtual ones do not work, the info 'may' be out there but is not passed around freely..... |
| Global | 07-06-2012 02:26 PM | Thanks everyone, love the picture GreenBean!
I know its a bit mad, but im sure im not the first in the UK to find the opening of bank accounts a serious stumbling block.
Oompaloompa, is this then a super stealthy option or a super risky option in your opinion?
If its an option I want to explore it, because I think im almost at my limit with bank accounts lol. |
| NoneOther | 07-06-2012 03:54 PM | I think what oomps is trying to tell you is that even if there is way for this to be done it is unlikely at this stage you would be made privy to it.
Some knowledge is closely guarded and only shared with those that are known and trusted. No offence intended but you have a lot of ground to cover.
BTW, with regards to opening bank accounts, to quote Keith Lemon "Easy as peas"
Read the forums, do the research, it's all out there.
Good luck |
| Global | 07-07-2012 05:49 AM | Hey NoneOther,
I fully appreciate what you are saying - im certainly not expecting to find out about this by simply asking and getting told how its done, I realise folks have to protect themselves and their interests.
All i needed to understand was that it was possible - and that im not completely barking mad at the idea of it - from here on I will put in the work to find out what I need to do.
Bank accounts I am really struggling with to be honest - I cant get any online accounts opened for whatever reason (smile.co.uk I think was who I tried) and ive just two more physical accounts opened and they took lots of pleading to secure.
I will have a fresh look through the forums and see what I can see.
Thanks again,
Global |

| they_screwed_me_too | 07-07-2012 06:55 AM | @global
in my mind there are at least 10 bank accounts you could open with little difficulty
maybe your not thinking along the right lines |
| Global | 07-07-2012 07:03 AM | Care to share They_screwed_me_too?
I think i will look into this better in terms of perhaps the non credit check accounts as NoneOther suggests, although many of these seem to cost money to set up and run. |
| they_screwed_me_too | 07-07-2012 07:08 AM | not sure why you would prefer opening accounts which run a credit check
perhaps this is why you are being turned down for new accounts
noneother is as always right on the money |

| Jfrase | 07-07-2012 11:21 AM | I sell in UK.
And have Scandinavian paypal accounts (several of them)
So all you need to do really is to verify with CC or VCC and then just send in documents (utility bill, passport copy etc) when they ask. Because you will get limited at €2500 mark (usually before) .
Basically €2500 limitation is EU money laundering regulation.
And yes use private VPS services. |
| TowelKing | 07-08-2012 04:36 PM | I used a prepaid visa card to withdraw money from paypal - try finding one with low fees and dollars on it. Withdrawing to entropay will get you limited...
I'm not sure the credit card has to match the country of the paypal account but I guess other people know better - I would test the visa card you want to withdraw to first on a test account and only then continue with your plans. |
| oompaloompa | 07-09-2012 01:18 PM | no, I am not privy to anything noneother... I only know of real bank in those countries that issue cards to their bank acc holders, and you can have a few cards filtering to one bank...if anyone knows a stand-alone prepaid card that can withdraw, pm me I would be v interested.... |
| Global | 07-10-2012 06:12 PM | After all that im starting to get the hang of things...
Opened a basic account online over the weekend and went in branch today to verify my ID - 5 mins later a new account.
I asked how many I could have and was told as many as I needed :thumb:
So I am getting a 2nd opened in the next few days, they dont even need me present again to do this.
Thanks everyone for the kick in the right direction :deadhorse: |

| oompaloompa | 07-11-2012 12:49 PM | you can in theory sell up to £650 per year in UK without a bank - but I never got the hang of it, always asks me add verified paypal |
| NoneOther | 07-11-2012 01:41 PM | That's not going to pay many bills |
| arshavin | 07-12-2012 05:50 AM | What bank said as many as you needed?
