| | | Elijah | 07-10-2012 10:52 AM | Entropay=instant PayPal limitation? As in the title. I add an Entropay card to my PayPal account and everything is fine until I get payment... then within 4-10 minutes my account gets limited! With the explanation "It's been a while since you last used your account. So, we just want to make sure that you authorised some recent transactions."
Has anybody else got this? It's pretty damn frustrating. |
| NoneOther | 07-10-2012 12:28 PM | Use e/p frequently without issues, latest was last Friday. |
how old was the account and how long did it lay dormant for? |
| Elijah | 07-10-2012 02:22 PM | It's on brand new PayPal accounts, and the card is added straight away, and I get paid about a day later. That is why the message is really strange.
P.S.: Has anybody been able to get an Entropay VCC to confirm their address? |

is this pp acct attached to an ebay?
is the payment from and ebay transaction? |
I wonder if EP is getting burned in the UK too. |

I am talking about confirming your address, so that on the PayPal order details for example, it says "Confirmed". Quote:

right
have u tried again with no issues? |
| Elijah | 07-10-2012 03:05 PM | Yes, three times so far with three different accounts. I always get the email after 4-10 minutes. And I'm not doing anything special other than adding the VVC, compared to my normal accounts that last for months/years/whatever until PayPal loses their tampon and freaks out. |
have u tried a non entropay vcc? |

EP has been abused for the past 5 years....it was only a matter of time. |
| J1mgg | 07-10-2012 03:14 PM | I set an up a new pp account today and added a new ep card and had no problems so far. Sorry if this is different from what you are meaning. |

these threads you mentioned
how old was the posts
recent? |
| Elijah | 07-10-2012 03:32 PM | They were from 2010-2011 actually. |
| NoneOther | 07-10-2012 03:57 PM | I use e/p card to confirm address on p/p accounts at least twice a month and have never ever had any problems.
As I said earlier they are still working as of last Friday and as J1mgg has pointed out also as of today so any issues must be arising from the way the account is being set up.
BTW has the OP not had these issues with e/p cards in the recent past. I seem to recall a similar post a while back.
History repeating? |

History repeating? | Nope, not me. I never had a problem with Entropay up until to now. I remember moneyhustler saying exactly what my title says in one of his posts though.
I'm going to try letting the account sit for a bit before adding the card. I saw a post where some users were having trouble when they tried to add a card right after registering... |
| NoneOther | 07-10-2012 04:25 PM | Never had a limitation after receiving or withdrawing funds on any account with an e/p card attached.
Thats what adding a card does, confirm your address. Nothing else really. |
| Elijah | 07-10-2012 04:29 PM | I use them for paying fees and also if I want to purchase something on my "buyer" accounts, without letting PayPal get their hands on my bank account or having to link accounts inadvertently by sending funds between them. It is very useful for that.
How soon do you add the card to your account? |
| NoneOther | 07-10-2012 04:51 PM | Yes I use them to pay for things also but never to pay e/b fees, always use p/p funds for that. No funds should ever be taken from the attached bank account, that's a given.
Only add then confirm card with 4 digit code after bank account has been verified. Basic stuff really. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:31 AM. | |
