Default resting your ebay account

I would be interested to find out if those with numerous accounts rest them occassionally, or just continue to use each account until it gets suspended. Would there be any advantage in, say, working an account for three months then resting it for three months and so on. Just a thought.

Well, There are quite a few reasons.

But the one that I see the most is when an account has been hit with a violation and the account needs to cool down for a bit.

I use an account until it gets suspended/limited.

I used a lot of effort in making the accounts, you bet Im going to milk every penny out of it. lol

Yes, I rotate them 15-20 a week, rest them and run 15-20 different ones and repeat.

Also, once I get to 175 range transactions it sits.

rotating has its benefits for sure

resting for too long may cause an issue when you go to use it again

you can rest the account but log in every now n then and do a quick search etc to keep some type of activity on it

i rest and rotate account but i never actually stop using the accounts that are resting, i usually log in now and again to buy something or just simply search and read some things.

i think its good to keep visiting if your resting.

Exactly.

I add to my watchlist, browse around for a while and move onto the next one.

No activity is not a good thing.

Who gets suspended?

Correctly rotating accounts usually prevents suspension.

Since ebay needs changed, 3 months rest is too risky. Could run the chance of being checked that the account was not hijacked.

Accounts need 'activity' and not just limited to selling

Good advice. I have a couple accounts that have been sitting too long. How bad would it look to just pick up & start selling again?

I simply make it a task every week to just do a little browsing on each account. Ask a question, place a item in watch etc..
