Paypal limited - New Reason

Receive email from paypal, do you have any idea???

We need your help resolving an issue with your account. To give us time to
work together on this, we've temporarily limited what you can do with your
account until the issue is resolved.

We understand it may be frustrating not to have full access to your PayPal
account. We want to work with you to get your account back to normal as
quickly as possible.

We need some more information from you because your account is new or
there's been a change in your account activity. Please provide this
information within 7 days. If we don't receive this information or we
notice additional changes in your account, we'll have to further limit your
account including your ability to send and withdraw money.

Case ID Number: PP-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

How you can help

It's usually pretty easy to take care of things like this. Most of the
time, we just need a little more information about your account or latest
transactions.

To help us with this and to find out what you can and can't do with your
account until the issue is resolved, log in to your account and go to the
Resolution Center.

Sincerely,
PayPal

I have my ideas...but what are your ideas? What steps do they ask you to do? Let's get constructive :)

Here comes the kitchen sink.

Got the same limitation -_- but I'm assuming cause I made a new acc.. Got 1k payment sent 3 days later to a seller

There is always a reason..... It annoys me when new people come on here and claim there is a new reason they were suspended, they were suspended for no reason, or they couldnt find any info on the suspension.

We are getting more and more people who will not take the time to read at all.

This is a new reason for them. Every single person was new here at one time, including me. Give him a break.

What are they asking for to remove the limitation?

I would suggest making a boatload of back up accounts... the same advice I give everyone.

Its a new terminology to probably not stress people of why they get limited without getting specific reasons.

Yea i know, i didn't ask why, lol
I know why it happened but i realized with paypal its hit and miss... I get 50/50 results when i do new accounts and send them 1-2K.

Just have to make sure you pick up ANY CALLL FROM PAYPAL!

That's what I meant (First Edition stated) - you should put up what steps they are asking you to follow. If no steps...then yes, call - means your account is in big problem.

somicaro 07-13-2012 10:38 AM

Paypal asking:
1. Bank Statement
2. Provide Invoices
3. Supplier Contact
4. Confirm Location
5. Confirm SSN

First Edition 07-13-2012 12:22 PM

Yep... thats pretty standard.

Do they want the ssn or proof of the ssn?

somicaro 07-13-2012 12:45 PM

just SSN, I have cofirmed it ;)

rsot 07-13-2012 01:50 PM

And what's stopping you from following the steps?

First Edition 07-13-2012 01:54 PM

I'm sure we can all agree at this point that you didn't have a new reason for a limitation. You haven't seen it, so it's new to you! haha... but this happens ALL THE TIME. Hopefully you'll plan ahead and make a bunch of backups... you'll run out of ssn's eventually. The best strategy is to stay under the radar so you don't have to do this.

PayPal

Yep. Your problem relates to COUNTRIES and how you access accounts.

Elaborate for the others so we dont waste time :juggle:

slokor 07-13-2012 08:15 PM

I think its just new wording on the same old limitation situation. I had a couple of ebay accounts that got hit with the MC999 restriction and once I didnt call they were suspended and a day later I got the paypal account limited as well with the email being worded the same way. And no I didnt have any funds in those accounts - lucky me :)
