Anyone else hate verizon fios?

I hate changing my IP on this thing. I usually have no problem changing it up to like 5-10 times. Then it gets stuck on 1 IP and will not change no matter what. I have tested absolutely every way of changing it. It does not change at all. Only way to get rid of it is turn off modem/router for 2hrs.

Is it possible they could be limiting how many IP changes you can do? Does anyone actually know how the pools of IP distribution work? Because i usually notice this happen at late nights. But then again that is the only time i do this.

I agree! I hate waiting to see it might give me a new IP.

How do you get it too change?

Hey loop, can you buy another router. When that happens, install the other one using the same service.

My old roommate used to do that with COX cable. He only sold on Amazon but had a few accounts.

How can you change it 5-10 times a day w/o waiting the 2 hours by turning it off? Do you log in as the admin under 192.168.1.1 and release and renew? I do this too but it only lets me change it one time a day at the most. I've researched this topic all the time and only way that works everytime is to turn off the modem for 2 hours. Please explain how you can change it 5-10 times a day because this is a major hassle for me too. Thanks!

I was told to try and reset the modem, then unplug it. Release/Renew stopped working for me.

hit release, wait for orange light on moden and wait 10 seconds, turn modem off for 10 minutes then turn back on, new ip...works everytime for me so far!
