- - Outsourcing ebay job?
Outsourcing ebay job? Hello,
Currently, I sale some vintage goods on ebay which I buy them in Ukraine and Russia. I found a person who can make pictures of products, make listings, uploading it into ebay, and everything will be done from Ukraine (all I will just have to do is to send sold products). The products will be here in UK. That way it will save me a lot of time.
My question - can ebay block my account because it will be accessed from Ukraine and UK many different times a day? Does anyone know how to do it properly so that way do not get in trouble with ebay?
 |
| First Edition | 07-15-2012 05:45 PM | Yes. It's an automatic red flag if you access an account with an ip address that isn't in that country. |

 | There is no way you can do this the way you describe. Any log in from the Ukraine would be an immediate suspension.
You have to have a system setup where your stealths could be accessed remotely... Then this might work and be worth it. |
| eternal | 07-17-2012 01:55 PM | Maybe he could use Team Viewer from Ukraine/Russia to log into a UK computer and do all his business that way? Will that be safe? |
Teamviewer - Logmein - viable options. |
| GrannyT | 07-17-2012 03:50 PM | So - if you are in the UK, and you are selling in the UK, why aren't you doing the listing?
Alternately why aren't you using someone from the UK?
Am I missing something? |
| First Edition | 07-17-2012 05:44 PM | I think the OP is talking about outsourcing the busy work of making item descriptions.... right? |
| GrannyT | 07-17-2012 06:18 PM | Hmmm - obvious solution if the OP wants to sell on the UK platform is to source a UK lister - not difficult IMO |

Everything is sourced in the Ukraine or Russia. OP is attempting to have a man/woman on the ground do the leg work to be time/cost effective.
Which could work if it did not have the chance of having the account suspended.:brushteeth: |
| FizzyFish | 07-17-2012 11:20 PM | Im with GT on this one.
There are some free listers out there, like auction splash or whatever the new name is.
Drop a token in the UK - get the man on the ground to then only use that software, job done. |
| biggunn | 07-18-2012 12:04 AM | The OP is talking about outsourcing his work to cheap labor in the Ukraine. You could do this with a few PC's setup at your house or office in the UK and have the Ukraine guys connect with remote desktop. |
| First Edition | 07-18-2012 12:21 AM | Turbolister? haha.... it's free. |
| plimsole | 07-18-2012 01:19 PM | does the bloke in the Ukraine spell purrfect englishh ? did you mean UKraine or UK Rain ? we are all in the Uk rain at the moment |
| slapped | 07-18-2012 01:26 PM | There are 2 Solutions:
1) Use a Third Party Listing Service Like Push Auction, Auctiva, Inkfrog ect, ect (Some costs involved)
2) Have the Complete Listing Photo and all Emailed to You in the UK and You simply Copy/Paste and List from the UK (a Little work, but FREE) |

| biggunn | 07-19-2012 02:49 PM | You know.. Thinking about this.. How cheap really is it to hire someone in in the ukraine? Wouldn't it be just as cost effective to hire some 16 year old kid part-time that you can train on doing your busy work? $10/hr I think would be more than generous for part time work. |
| First Edition | 07-19-2012 05:02 PM | I'm assuming most people on here don't understand employment law, or at least to the extent that I do...
You have to be careful. You can't just pay anyone.... it's more complicated than it sounds. |

Get the person to email you the pictures and listing wording. Takes about a minute to do a listing if you have all the info to hand. |

They appear to want to use local skill & knowledge to identify specific types of items namely antiques.
That is actually specialist work. A remote destop would help too :ranger: |
| Volkspeed | 08-20-2012 04:09 AM | It COULD work, but then again, most everything in life COULD work but most of the times it doesnt. I wish you the best! | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:35 AM. | |
