i just created an ebay account

its got NO selling limits

WONT go into the hows and why's but my question is

are selling limits done instantly or has anyone seen them appear after a few hours/day/weeks

ie do they take time to update ?

We will all know in a few hours/days/weeks wont we tsmt?

And I feel sure you will want to share your secret with a kindly old lady

That would be amazing if you could make accounts with no selling limits right off the bat. As far as my experience, I have always had selling limits the moment I make the account, so they update instantly.

I've made one account this year that had no selling limits from the outset.

I have no idea why it happened that way, it just did.

Could I duplicate it? I don't think so as I have tried the same formula and got selling limits!

I have made a few of these accounts in the past, they are completely random.

If you somehow discovered the long sought after no-limit account creation process...that would be a hot commodity! =}

From my experience it is completely random.
From the last 50 I created I had one of those and a few that had 10/1000 with the rest being 10/500.
The trick is to know how to talk to ebay personnel smoothly enough to get the limits lifted to 100/5000.

And by the way - they can review this account at any point and place limits on the account. Again - speaking from experience.

I got one two days ago but did not dare to even touch it lol. I am just going to leave it alone...

You have no concept of the meaning of those two words...........

I have seen limits pop in hours later or a day or two later.. Never weeks later or even months later when you have one of those gems.

This also depends on what kinds of items you sell. For example, if you sell any kind of software, you're going to be limited to one per month for 90 days. USB cables, maybe more. And just because it doesn't show a selling limit under the selling section, doesn't mean there isn't one. Keep in mind tax reporting requirements and staying under the radar.

I hate to get all jaded again, but there is no such thing as ONE account with no selling limits. My business has no selling limits because I see beyond one account, and I sell everything I can get my hands on with no limits. I don't work for ebay, they work for me!

Keep in mind that limits can be imposed later on ...in fact I would never hold an account to no limits until first 10 items are sold THEN you reassess.
