Listing past selling limits...?

So I have a 10 month old eBay account, and decided to bring it back to life after 7 months of hibernation. So I listed 1 item in Inkfrog and then scheduled 100 more, to be listed over the next 2 hours... I should have written 99 but did not take into account that I had already listed 1. I thought nothing more of it as I just assumed that the 101st listing would simply fail, but to my surprise it went through! So I have 101 items listed currently.

Has anybody had this happen to them?

Not sure if this will answer your question or it might be like this in your case but when i run out of selling limit i tried to do second change offers thinking i could get away with it. Next time i logged on i got a MC999 stating i went over my limit......

I normally list around 5-6x my limit in dollars and like 10x my limit in items.

Hehe. I've been able to get away with that one before.

I know that the currency limit is flexible (you can exceed it significantly, but then once any auctions have exceeded the limit, you can't list any more), but the item number limit seems to be "unmoveable"; once you hit it, you should not be able to list any more. So how the heck are you listing 10 times more than the item limit?

Be careful on hitting your limits so quickly on an old dormant account.

i will try that too today, i hope i will get the same results :)

That's just one of those things that's best not said on a public forum. :nono:

If your an eb seller and you have sold for more than a month and you still haven't found that out. Good luck finding out about the other tricks. This is something you should have learned whenever you hit the 10th item limit.

dom03 07-22-2012 08:56 AM

so how do you list more than 10 a month without requesting seller limit increases? som1 explain this to me

there are several ways that i know of, i found out by mooching around, suggest you do the same.

they_screwed_me_too 07-31-2012 02:32 PM

i had 13 available to list today

i just clicked 50 and guess what

they all listed successfully

You can sell up to 200 items or up to £3,500.00 per month, whichever comes first

You have sold 161 £3,261.54

You have listed (active) 80 £1,108.06

You can list 0 £130.40

you do the math

maybe its just because its borderline reset day

rsot 07-31-2012 02:37 PM

Wait a few days and report back tsmt - hopefully your account survives.
