Zero Ratings bidders

I have a bidder with ZERO ratings that registered 4 days.
They are bidding (currently winning) on 5 of my auctions.

The auctions are now going for slightly more than they would normally go for...
Should i be worried ??
Im not sure what to do as i know we all have to start somewhere :noidea:

That would raise alam bells for me but like you say they could be genuine

i would have contacted them already.

they_screwed_me_too 07-20-2012 08:32 AM

if they are similar items id say its genuine

newbies usually go mad when they find something they like

but as tiz says id have contacted them by now

no response then end the auctions and block him

Firstly, UGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH.

Down to business. Do you mean they are bidding on ONE stealth lot of auctions or others as well?

Much more seriously, why did you not have your bidders preferences preset?

Couple of options but dependent on your reply :pop2:

Depending on the potential for LOSS, I would cancel their bids, block the buyer and e-mail them pronto.

And if they're genuine and your satisfied with their response unblock them if necessary...

Are you trying to say that there is a way of blocking zero FB bidders? Please share :)

bsg1979 07-25-2012 02:25 AM

Could be genuine or they could be a bull**** bidder! You gotta remember we were all new once with (0) feedback so take that into consideration. I usually email all (0) feedback bidders and tell them if they don't respond within 24 hours with their plans for payment your going to cancel their bids. Good luck!

In eb*y support search bar thing search "block buyer" or when you list your item somewhere on the lower part of the listings page ( i think where you set the price) there is a button where you can add preferences that block buyers with certain feedback ect.

Whatever happened bunneh?

I think I founded it...
Block buyers who have a feedback score of -1

My question is how a buyer can have -1 if sellers cannot leave negatives? lol

But I still don't see an option where you can block buyers with zero feedback.

BigCJ 07-27-2012 05:52 PM

There really is no option to block bidders with zero feedback. You just have to put the option that allows you to block bidders with NPB warnings against their accounts.

They get the -1 probably due to selling in the past.

Check the join date, anything less than a month, they get canceled right away. More aged accounts bidding on my item (if they passed the initial NPB block), I send them a polite message asking when they intend to pay once/if they win.

Mr. Invisible 07-30-2012 11:30 PM

lol Bunneh, a few weeks ago you told me I was too harsh with my blocked bidder settings.

A few days old 0 feedback
cancelled and blocked (most likely competition)

Aged 0 feedback
Contact if they have Paypal account and how soon they can pay after winning.
No contact = cancelled and blocked

Artann 07-31-2012 11:19 AM

But even if you cancel and block them and it was competition, would they still be able to leave negative??
