Summary of events and help please :)?!

Hi everyone, not posted on here in a while as everything was running smoothly...

Obviously this is a ongoing issue with eBay but i have not found a direct answer on the forums.

I have had several items taken down because of Vero MC019 or trademark infringement/copywright stuff. My supplier is an authorized dealer of this brand and its 100% original. In the listing i even included the certificate that said authorized dealer (this was listen on germany eBay by the way)

however it got removed still.., what in gods name is going on? and i have had several takedowns on various accounts, and now im scared to list anything at all... when these items are actually 100% legit..

I would like people views and opinions on this one. It seems to me that buy it nows get taken down less than auction style format?...

thanks

Why do you not contact the owner/company that forced the takedown by eb? There are clear steps to follow. You may need permission if your item is hot.

the item sells well, but im probably one of the only sellers, there not many competitors. I have emailed the company.., meanwhile i guess i just got to wait..?

Its soo annoying as i sold 2 the week before without any problems..

I dont know what im doing wrong? :s, finally found something decent and sell 2 then gets taken down.., what if i tried listing it again but on a different ebay site like ebay UK or something?

thanks

possibly you are not an authorised re-seller in Germany?
not exact same scenario but;

ye maybe im not, but i would not of thought it would be such a big deal.., todays just getting worse, i have now got 2 german customer saying customs want 200euros off them, and they are refusing to pay unless i do :S, im so stressed right now

Import charges are the buyers responsibility are they not?!?

NoneOther 08-01-2012 03:39 AM

Yes they are, but if you sell internationally you should mention that in your listing as per the new e/b selling guidelines.

Unfortunately buying from an authorized dealer does not automatically entitle you to resell the items as you are not authorized by the rights owner.

It's up to them who they allow to sell their goods not the distributors I'm afraid

Some buyers try to claim they were never told of charges for an international transactions :smash:

josh 08-02-2012 04:19 AM

Well i have offered them 50% of the import taxes, but have heard nothing since, once has opened an eBay case :s saying the item is a f**e, when it is not! Probably because its the only way he could get his money back?

im speaking to the rights owner now, all i need to do is get a pic of the serial number and mail an invoice, then it should be fine. Regardless if im not an authorized dealer..

thanks

very true, BUT he should send it as a gift below $25 in that case buyer will pay nothing to the customs, he should support his buyers too

rsot 08-02-2012 11:17 AM

There are smart ways of avoiding import duties - buyers never like that.

josh 08-03-2012 02:54 AM

ye, but sending someting from China direct to Germany... its quite hard to avoid customs...
if you have any ways, please do share
thank you

GreenBean 08-03-2012 03:03 AM

Avoid going down that road too far.

Under declaring duties AND getting caught is expensive. :smash:

josh 08-03-2012 03:23 AM

ye, im never sending anything from china to germany again! lol
