PP asking for tax id or ssn? When adding funds from bank acc?
 

Okay so I took too much from my paypal account to pay for the fees that are coming up and I wanted to add some back; so I clicked "add money" expecting me to be able to add money from my bank to pp. But nope, PP is asking for my SSN or tax ID, and its a stealth PP acc so I don't have either obviously.

Is this normal for everyone? I can still use moneypak I guess.

If you added money from your bank account pay pall were able to see your real name, this is why they are asking for ssn or tax ID.

You should have used a vcc to add funds to your p ay p al.

I don't know how you can you fix this, hopefully someone else will chime in here with a solution.

Wasn't a notice, I just logged onto my paypal account, clicked "add money" which means add money from bank account to PP.

Then it took me to a screen where it said "please give us either your tax I.D. or SSN before you can add money from your bank."

Naturally since its a stealth account; I don't have either. So, I couldn't add money from my bank.

Now I'm considering moneypak.

moneypak will ask for SS# also....

Can you sell something low priced.... even at small loss to cover the fees?

Mmmm now I got another problem, two people asked for refunds. So now I really need money in that account. =X

Really moneypak ..the greendot cards ask for ssn? There's no other way to add money to the acc?

Oh wait I just read somewhere that moneypak does not share your ssn with paypal, is this still true?

Yes moneypaks require SS now. They were probably was used for money laundering.

This just happened on my son-in-laws account. He clicked to add money from his bank account to pp....they then requested him to send a photo of his Social security card. Lucky for him it was his legit account and was able to provide the doc.

I think this is happening to everyone they asking for SSN to add funds from bank acc to PP. Scary thought cause what if they start making you give your SSN if you want to take funds out of your SSN =X.

I'm still looking for a solid way to add funds to my PP account. Any advice would be appreciated.

Open a new Paypal, buy a Gift card one that allows avs. Build the Paypal really quick, send funds to your Paypal needing money, or simply just go ahead and build a buyer eBay also and buy something from yourself, pay using the card are payment funds.
