SO confused about ein number
 

I am so confused , i need a ein for an account , pp message telling me I need to provide it has been there for a month and my sales are very close to 20k. the name is a variation of my own, address is different but belongs to a friend of mine, what info do I need to enter when applying for the ein form the irs? bottomline what has to match? any help would be appreciated, been searching on here for some time now and have yet to find a clear answer...

name and address should match. if it is your friend's place you can use your misspelled name and he will get your mail.
