seller messages me with my real address, now what?

So I made a purchase last night, sent the seller a message through private email to send to my real(banned)address, this morning I finf they ebay messaged me and in that message copy and pasted the address I gave them to conform it was right? so how likely is it that this will cause me trouble? has anyone had this happen to them?

I would reply to that message saying that it is the wrong address so if EB sees it they might think its a mistake.

Message him again to send it to a an address you have access to, say its like a birthday present.................

What is the address registered to your pp account? I would not say birthday present unless your rep is HIGH on eb...feedback etc.

This has fail written all over it. What happens if the seller uses paypal/ebay to print the shipping label with your updated banned address?

Don't compound this - you dropped a bo**ock now just sit back and hope it comes right - anything you do from now on is going to make things worse

If you find yourself in a deep hole - stop digging

Why blame the seller?

Well documented over the forum to not do daft things like this.

Ride it out and never be stupid again:smash:

If your real address Ebay account was banned you can still make a new ebay account in the same address. But make sure to only buy from this account and don't sell it.

I only buy from one account and one account only. It has my real name, real address, everything real. Yes, I have been banned using it another time when I was selling on it.

The day my real legit account was banned (I used it to sell and buy). I made a buyers account only and to this day it's still up and running. No problems, what so ever. It is over 2 years old and over 400 feedback.

When the day comes that Ebay bans that account too, I will make another buyers account. Buyers accounts are so easy to make. It is the sellers accounts that are more looked at.

Don't stress it.

Yea, as long as their are no problems with anything and you don't get reported you are good to go. Especially as a buyer I wouldn't lose sleep over anything.

Markk 08-17-2012 05:39 AM

I wouldn't worry, eBay don't scan messages for banned addresses.

Stigger 08-17-2012 07:28 AM

Don't reply to the message.

Send a separate one , other wise the address will be in the first and Second message.

Possible the first message could be missed by eby.

All the same a very irresponsible situation to put yourself in.
