paypal SSN requested for tax/IRS purposes for stealth
 

MY question is this, I have not sold over $20,000 USD let alone get 200 payments/transactions for online sales. but not sell more then what's required to trigger a SSN request for tax/IRS.

I got request from paypal asking for my ssn for tax purposes. I have over 100 feedback on ebay, and just want to be a honest business man and pay my tax share.

Sales to date: $2,197.41

Transactions: 133
I am only 20% there, This account is stealth so I dont have access to the name or address.
Somone said to turn it into a business account and get a EIN.
Problems I worry about does...........
Do paypal check the business name or the address or both???
If they check the address, how I am i going to do it? USPS mail forwarding? When apply on irs? and enter the details what do i put on the usps mail forwarding? my business name and the stealth address?

UPS box for address, use an agent to register so nothing is directly linked back to you if someone looks up your business unless they have a court order

I have the address on my paypal, which is a real address but i dont have access to it, but my name is stealth, is okay do usps forward to my address to get my EIN? Should i put business name and address? To forward to my real address? anyone done this before.
Problem if i have 4 or 5 stealths renting those usps box going cost a lot of money

The Costs are cheaper in the long run when compared to the issues you will be dealing with.

Which one is okay to use for a business address ? Which is better UPS box or USPS box? It okay to add this address to my paypal as secondary address? still having my stealth address on paypal?

Also I read on the forum someone forwarding there stealth address(which is real) to there home address. When they mailed the ein tax number to was forward to there home address?

If your stealths are out of state USPS might not be an option. You have to take in the application, present ID & pick up the keys in person. Their mail forwarding service is also $15 per week. :faint:

You will have to open UPS store or mom & pop mail forwarding boxes.

Does USPS forward the IRS letters if you forward your business name?

IRS mail is not forwarded by USPS, it is returned as undeliverable.

Since when does paypal check the name or address that is attached to the EIN number?

I thought they cant see beyond the EIN number

If I'm not mistaken, checking an EIN is like a soft credit check. In the same way as if I gave my real SSN, they could check if it matched with my name. Am I wrong anyone?
