Default PayPal 21 day limit

Hi All,

Just a quick question regarding PayPal 21 day money holding limit. If I buy from one new PayPal account using another new PayPal account and vice versa a few days later will they both have messages saying you money will be released after 21 day? Or does 21 day period apply only using Ebay?

The reason I am asking this because I created 10 new accounts and left them to settle for a month before I start selling. I want to speed up the 21 day process and I'm thinking about buying from one using another and so on until I get selling history on all 10 and after a month I be able to get money straight away after selling items on all accounts.

Thanks!

What makes you think the holds will stop after a month?

I'd suggest you read some of the recent threads on 21 day holds, plenty of information.

Buying from yourself using your 10 accounts is very risky and also costly.

Why not just adapt your business strategy to accommodate 21 day holds?

Isn't PayPal only hold money for 21 day after the first item sold? As far as I know you should be able to access money after 21 day and after that once you sell you should be able to use money straight away. Am I not right?

I used prepaid cards to open accounts and by buying from one to another I can get money transferred from card to paypal and later get them out quicker. Attaching bank account to paypal is not an option for me.

I want my accounts to be at least a month old before I start selling. So now I need to wait a month for accounts to be ready and after first item sold wait another 21 day before I can access money on PayPal. That is just insane!

My theory is to make it look like I'm paying for goods from one Paypal to another and speed up access to funds and when a month gone my ebay accounts are ready to sell and money received into PayPal be accessible straight away without need to wait for 21 day.

And the thing I don't know is how 21 day limit exactly works? If I buy from a new PayPal account not thro ebay will I get 21 day limit? Or do I need to buy thro ebay to get 21 day limit on PayPal?
