Weird PayPal withdrawal message never heard before
 

hey guys I tried searching for this on the forums but found nothing. Apologies if its already been mentioned, but my mum bought me a surprise holiday to Ibiza for 8 days so been away.
Anyway come back and had £300 in my paypal from my business,i tried withdrawing £35.00 and see that paypal have changed the layout of withdrawals..should i be worried?

Because weirdly it said something like they need to review my withdrawal and it'll be released the funds..then went and withdrew £200 and it said nothing like that on the second withdrawal..account isn't limited..but is this a new normal thing :s as it even said 2 hours for withdrawals to hit your bank now?? I know there was this whole summer business and paypal improving withdrawals
.if you could let me know guys, as I haven't been on paypal in a while so only thing I can think is perhaps some lights have been hit because i've been inactive for 8 days,then bang £300+ has come in and been withdrawn 24 hours later..(i've left around £100 in but will be using that later) ..thoughts guys?

For me the message was BS... transfer completed as soon as I hit the button.

And what is this supposed to mean? Doesn't seem to answer his question or make any sense.

I already linked him to a thread showing that it is something that PayPal have started doing recently, and that it is nothing to worry about since they don't seem to actually review anyway... it is just a scaremongering thing it seems, to make people think twice about withdrawing and making them leave the cash in their account so that PayPal has a greater timeframe to limit the account and hold monies.

Well i just checked my bank..the £200 went in :s but not the £35 so looks like they are reviewing it..what makes me laugh is how literally one withdrawal goes in instant for a big amount and another for a smaller amount gets reviewed?? possible glitch? who knows..but am getting my money the hell out of paypal incase i get limited :) :D :amen:

The left hand of PayPal doesn't know what the right hand does... they, much like their conjoined twin known as eBay, are a bunch of weirdos and brainless actions on their part such as what you described don't surprise me, at all.

P.S.: I'd withdraw/transfer that £200 cash to another account since like I said, the left hand does not know what the right hand does. They could decide to reject the transfer request for the £35 and decide to reverse the £200 back to your account, where it will be limited for 180 days.

I don't see why they would limit it? I mean it came from the same source as does all my money.
And that £200's gone out of that account now anyway so good luck to them reversing it lol.

Now though I can't do anything except wait for this 'security check' which they're doing on all my withdrawals.

So i'm guessing it will be Monday before I hear anything?
