| | | | | Hnguyenphi1981 | 09-01-2012 02:26 PM | After listing two items (BIN) on Stealth, my account was restricted!!! Hello Community, after creating two listings on my Ebay stealth account, those listings were removed and Ebay sent me this message.
Should I call them? or should I just move on to another account. The paypal account connected to that Ebay account is still active.
"Thanks for selling on eBay. It's important that we speak with you about recent activity on your account. Your listings have been removed until we can talk with you.

Is the account phone verified? |
| Hnguyenphi1981 | 09-01-2012 02:44 PM | Yes, the account is phone verified. also paypal verified. I just called them and they said they needed to verify some information for public record, not for Ebay. WTH?
I hung up... Should I just call back and give them the stealth info? |
Well, I'm not too experienced with this so I wouldn't want to tell you exactly what to do right now..However, I think they do this with just US accounts sometimes. I've heard that they'll ask you stuff like what are some streets nearby your "house" and other info that seemingly only the true owner could know....But wait for someone else to reply to help you. In the meantime, maybe provide some more background info & details on the the account (like when it was created) and what type of item you were posting, etc... |
| Hnguyenphi1981 | 09-01-2012 02:49 PM | It was created two days ago. It was just a couple of generic items, nothing risky.
Is it because I listed them too fast and via BIN?
Well, please give me some inputs on whether or not I should call them. |
I personally don't think you should call them just yet..But just wait for someone else to post here, who will probably know more about what to do in this situation than I would. Best of luck |
| Hnguyenphi1981 | 09-01-2012 02:55 PM | Here is the other message

As part of our review, we've placed your account on hold, and you won't able to buy, sell, or send messages to members. Your active listings have also been placed on hold during this period.
To remove the hold on your account and confirm your information, please follow the instructions in the email we sent to your registered email address or your My Messages in My eBay. Make sure you respond to our email within 72 hours, otherwise you may be subject to other actions, such as suspension of your account.
We appreciate your cooperation in confirming your information as soon as possible and welcome you as a valued member." |
You sold too quick. You should keep your stealth details near you and call them back. Just answer the questions you are asked as they will verify things you should know like what you sold and your stealth details. If your account is truly stealth then just answer none of the above. You have to call or your account will be suspended. |
Do you know if this only happens to US accounts? (ex. They give you some multiple choice questions or something and ask you about surrounding areas of your house, nearby stores, etc...) |
I'm not sure but the questions they ask you will only exist to a real person not a stealth account..... Meaning that can only ask a real person how tall they are eye color etc.... not stealth so it will be none of the above.... |
| Hnguyenphi1981 | 09-01-2012 03:35 PM | I basically used my vacation name for the account, just a PO box address. So the person behind stealth is actually myself.
What kind of questions do you think they will ask?
It is a little scary for them to say it's not Ebay that is verifying, but it's for public record. |
Just calm down and don't be scared. Call back you are the stealth person. Answer the questions. Report back I'm 99% sure you will have good luck. |

Well, please give me some inputs on whether or not I should call them. | THIS is where you messed up. Build some feedback and wait it out a bit before you start selling anything. Making a band new account and selling right away is a red flag for eBay. |

| Hnguyenphi1981 | 09-01-2012 07:01 PM | Should I call back with the verified phone number? |

If the account gets flagged for any reason, ebay reacts.
Your choice is how you deal with the reaction.
